I have no idea why the exhibition rocket is not running this year.. It took much longer to take 29 Dufferin to the EX this year

From a tweet that has since been deleted, the TTC's reasoning is that Dufferin Station was now accessible... and that everyone should easily be able to take the 29 to get to Dufferin Gate.

The reason given was that Dufferin Stn is now accessible. But that has been the case for a couple of years so I'm not too sure about that reason. And they say that there are Non-Stop Express 29's from the station. Don't know if any of those have been seen so far.

Given that they don't have enough operators available currently to simply run PM rush hour, with up to 15% of 504, 505, and 506 buses simply not running - perhaps the real answer is they don't have the resources.

TTC says the 193 is discontinued for good. There will not be a 993 ever.

They do run an express bus signed "Exhibition Express". In the past years, the 193 has a various loading pattern. Sometimes it's really pack while other times it's completely empty. I can see them saving a few bucks and consolidate everything to one location.

The express map also has been updated with the 993 removed.

Have they? All I saw was customer service - which is often making guesses themselves, theorizing.

Where was the official announcement?

Funny thing happened this evening as it seems all flexities operating on Spadina had to switch from panto to pole at the same time. Also finally got to see how the drivers switch from pole to pants and vice versa. Anyone might know what may have happened for the sudden switch?

If anyone wasn't aware of it before, the "Exhibition Express" also ran during the Caribbean Carnival three weeks back.

Did they need to open the panel in the mid-section of the car?

When there is a diversion onto College street, the streetcar operators have to switch from panto to pole

There was no diversion in place during that time so I don’t think that contributed to it.

There's actually not enough space in Dundas west station to accommodate another bus. Always issues with the 193 blocking 40/168, but I doubt that's the real reason.

Eglinton and Queensway buses are used as the 29 non-stop Express and their destination signs say "Exhibition Express". I've seen a few of those buses when I was at King and Dufferin about a week ago.

Yup up to six Eglinton buses are used on the express

Has anyone experienced NextBus tracking is all out of whack this morning?

Some routes have no buses at all, some have weird phantom buses that move along themselves but don't actually exist... Similar to what happened when they tried some sort of test a couple months ago.

This has been a problem since last evening, actually. Likely due to testing input from the Vision system again.

TTC now has an advisory on their Service Alerts page. It's also affecting the in-station displays for bus arrival, I'm sure the same goes for the bus stop arrival displays.

Nextbus has advised that they are experiencing issues with the tracking of vehicles and have crews working on the issue.

When last evening? It was working correctly at 10pm when I was using it.

I read the TTC CEO's report on ttc.ca, and it states that the Nova LFS buses are having problems with coolant leaks.

They've seemed to be pretty reliable, more so than the Orion buses. Anyone care to elaborate?

I haven't personally seen any Nova's break down with coolant on my usual routes that used to always have the Orions breaking down with coolant loss.

What I have seen several times, on buses I've been on, is the rear door interlock screwing up not allowing the bus to move. Doors were closed, but the bus would not move.

I checked a little bit later than that, around 11 PM or so. The nextbus feed for the streetcar routes I have checked were full of "ghost" buses and some cars were "signed in" on various bus routes. Hopefully, the issue will be fixed sooner than it was last time.

You don't work in the maintenance department.  How would you know?  The transmission on the Nova buses are very crappy.  Sometimes they can't shift gears.  I have seen several Nova having a coolant leaks.

TTC just updated the Alerts page with regard to the NextBus outage. It's crazy how much I rely on it nowadays, when it goes down I miss it significantly.

The Nextbus system is back in service.

I never found using the 25 bus was difficult before it. But my commute changed to the 506 about when NextBus started - and I honestly don't know how I'd manage without it - especially when 20--minute 506 gaps were so common before they finally fixed the schedule a couple of years ago ...

It's still frustrating - but less frustrating when I can sit at home and wait comfortably ... or just take another route home.

Of course, that 5:06 pm announcement was fake news - it was still all messed up well after 6 pm. They announced it was fixed again about 8:30 pm yesterday (Monday) ... after being down since Sunday evening.

They've done another round of reprogramming on the Flexity signs. Examples.

Old: 504 KING / DUNDAS WEST STN / via KING

New: 504 KING / TO DUNDAS WEST / STATION

Old: 510 SPADINA / > LESLIE & QUEEN / via KING

New: 510 SPADINA / TO LESLIE / and QUEEN / via KING

Have they fixed the problem on the 504/505 exposures to Broadview Station where it would only show "to Broadview" before scrolling to "STN via King/via Dundas"?

This could confuse people into thinking it's short-turning.
