Good question. I have checked the documents and they are scheduled for delivery at the latest january 7, 2019 at St. Laurent.

Chinese electric buses are coming in the west island!

What exactly does "possible extras" mean? Next board period the 217 will have a Stinson extra yet it's not listed in their possible extras list.

Training? To operate minibuses? A Classe 4B licence is required to drive tapeculs; that is practically a taxi licence. A class 2 licence and some 40-footer experience is more than sufficient to drive a pick-up truck with passenger seats. 

On the mechanical side, the problem is more on the parts stocking than the mechanics' knowledge. 

A reminder : line 212 is expected to become the first fully electrified line. What's plausible for now is the lending of Saint-Michel vehicles and personel for the time being before the electric midis (BYD) are up and running — and that will require formation.

Indeed. I juste assumed the info we got here would come into effect in January. Delivery of the BYD order is expected to begin in July, according to ATUQ.

I see the option of lending the most plausible for January. But I'll guess the only way to know is to wait until there!

According to the tender process, the delivery is for January. Maybe they changed, or the service will start around July, in the next board period (June 17th).

Another question I have is how will all of SD buses be divided amongst the other garages? What fleet will go where? Or are they going to be stored until BC? (Bellechasse)

By reading the report, they say that buses will get out of there for a year before returning there after roof work complete, that will make it last until Bellechasse open next door

Been busy in the last couple of weeks, so here are some answers.

Full Length buses cannot operate on the 212, a SADB regulation prevents it and the ridership does not warrant such. While waiting for the BYD buses, minibuses will be transferred to SL in order to operate the service.

The 212 (251 at the time) was operated out of St-Laurent Garage as as the Western NAvette Or routes, Minibuses were stored at SL and AN garage to operate the service. AN being the operator of the East End Navette Or routes at the time. The decision was made to send the Navette Or routes and the 212 to Saint-Michel in order to make maintenance easier as the buses were sent to SM for maintenance and repairs as they were equipped for such.

St-Denis garage will closed for only 1 year, the roof will be fixed to make the garage safe and will reopen in 2020 for 2 years before Bellechasse is built.

Despite drivers being able to drive a 40-foot bus, training is neccessary on all types of buses because many things can be different from 1 bus to another. All drivers at LaSalle have both 2008 Hybrid bus training and Electric Bus Training. The drivers at Stinson, St-Laurent, Mont-Royal and Frontenac have been given the 2016+ Hybrid Training and the raining is ongoing at Anjou in preperation for the 95 Hybrid Buses coming to Anjou in 2019.

SD Buses will de divided based on the space in the garages. Stinson being the garage with the most room, will get the bunch of them, while some buses will be sent to other garages. With the arrival of the 2019 buses at Anjou, we will also see some of the Anjou's older buses being moved around.

 

As for the possible extras. These are the possible extras that the garage can operate for more than a half-trip extra. Normally when a garage does an extra on a route of another garage, the portion of the timetable cannot exceed the amount of time spent on routes from the garage. The possible Extras allow a garage to operate a route as a dominant line therefore spend more time on a specfic route than the others during the day.

Example, AN is doing an extra on the 211, though not in the list can still be possible but cannot be the dominant line. The shift might include a half or full trip on the 211, but the dominate line might be 189, so the run number would 189-72 as an example. Taking an example from the Anjou list, the possible extra list allows Anjou to operate a dominate line piece on the 197 for example and allow them to have a run number as 197-99 as an example, even though the route is operated by Legendre. (This is what I understand from the explanation given to me by my contact, maybe an STM driver can explain it better)

They have no choice if Du Collège will once again become the temporary terminus of the Orange line, when Côte-Vertu shuts down for the garage construction in the arrière-gare.
