Meanwhile rode 1803 today and found the additional differences.

- Early units still has Insight seating but can’t confirm all units will have insight at this point.

- Like nova buses, they have extra buttons instead of tape.

- The next stop information LCD screens are installed. Along new init control pannel, just new model of screen, they work same as existing units (They also using exisitng led signs too)

- The stop requested  sign at centre is now red instead of light green.

- New flyer connect system is not installed

so are all yrt buses getting lcd sceens and why are they smaller then ttc?

will viva get them to?

1385 was very early prototype, not sure existing viva units will get them, only thing I can say is LCD screen is will fit on viva units, if they installing in same location as conventional novas. (Since they have exactlly same design of init control box at front-left side)

Would this be due to the fact NFI last deliveries were around the time that code was relevant (2013/14) and YRT failed to provide a current code list?

I doubt it... an entirely new program would have been created for the June 30, 2013 changes (one year before the 2014 XD40 buses were delivered), which also happened to be when the shift to two-lined signs occurred. 1401-1434 were delivered with two-lined programming, so NFI would have a more recent version on hand.

Either way, these buses were delivered months ago. Can't argue that they never had time to install new sign programs before buses hit the street. A simple test of the sign on acceptance testing during delivery should've signaled that the signs were out of date.

Anyone else been able to physically observe any of the 18xx up North, and confirm whether they all have these signs? All 4 units in service at Miller contain the new 2-lined programming.

These units have been showing up on 50 quite a bit, I'll have to run out and check a few.

The 18xx have standard two-line coding on Route 50 just like the D40LFs and LFS.
