Has the electric bus been getting much usage during Winter? I've visited Montmorency and Cartier a few times but have not seen any sign of it.

Nobody has seen it since October and I don't think anyone cares about it including the STL. Designline is no more, so no chance the STL will continue with this buses future. If anything they'll wait for a Nova electric bus instead.

Sighting of Retired STL 6203. (1992 MCI Classic TC40-102N)

Terminus Cartier, this afternoon. Oh, and there’s a security guard who thinks he can tell me that I need a special authorization to take pictures there… And when I tell him that there is no such r

The STL 2019s are arriving early too. Here is a photo of 1903 from a Facebook group.

STL just bought the biggest LEMON of the country ever.............what a good investment

maybe let the bus sit at the same spot for 18 years before dumping it? lol~~

STL still has an obligation to local taxpayer to justify the capital expenditure. They cannot just let it sit for 18 years. I am sure they will try to use it for something in the future.

I have a plan, install a concrete slab, remove the wheels and install blocks, run electricity wire from the nearest hydro pole and voila!, deluxe abribus !

I was so lucky enough to ride on it during the free shuttle service between Carrefour Laval and Montmorency Station back in July(?) last year..............and i know that the chance of seeing/riding it in service again is next to impossible~~~

Absolutely. The bus is important to the history of the development of electric buses, regardless of whether or not DesignLine ever builds another like it. As far as I know it is the first zebra battery 40 foot bus in North America. It should be tested and used robustly and the testing results should be published widely.

I add the BHNS plan to the previous message. I believe we won't have a true BRT in Laval like in Cleveland, Bogota or Curitiba. Not a Separate lane outside the road network like the Transit Way in Ottawa or Évry in France. It will probably be like a false BRt like in Calgary line 305 with regular bus shelter and curbside reserved lane with mandatory right turn for non bus. Because the chosen road in the plan are not wide enough to have a true BRT without having a major impact on the road congestion.

Yeah, funny how in Québec, any limited-stop service with or without mitigation measures are considered to be BRTs. I've heard some specialists refer to the Métrobus network in Québec as a BRT. I LOLed.

A true BRT could help out the modernist and COD disasters of Laval (Saint-Martin, Laurentides, Curé-Labelle). I'm talking long-term here.
