What are you eating right now?

Swim pal just took me out for an early birthday lunch at BP. I had the Smoked Gouda and Poblano Pepper Ravioli and she had the Boston Lasagna. We had to sit out on the patio, and even though we were dressed fairly warm, it was still a bit chilly.

Arugula salad for supper. It's got crispy onion, multigrain croutons, shaved turkey breast and shaved Edam cheese in it, but apparently most of those bits are hiding on the bottom..

Also room mate left me a slice of (day early) birthday cake on my side of the fridge.

Arugula salad, mashed potato with pulled turkey and a couple of vegetarian samosas.

Never fails, after I have eaten, a neighbor brings over some piping hot chicken and risotto. I found room for it, but had to put most of the salad back in the fridge..

Just having a banana and a couple small slices of watermelon for dessert.

Lunch: Dutch breakfast cake with Herb Spiced Gouda Cheese, some chicken, an orange and a cup of instant Miso soup.

Supper: Hot & Spicy (Mr. Noodles) Beef Pho with hot sauce and pulled chicken breast. Will have a dish of fruit with cheese later for dessert.

Lunch: Roasted chicken breast, a few sticks of Herb spiced Gouda cheese and a large orange.

Supper: Piping hot buttery Shepard's Pie from Safeway deli.  Heated it in the microwave, so it's stirred up. Definitely my new favorite from Safeway deli.

So this is what being a work from home slacker is like.  Mowed the lawn.  Took care of a couple things on the truck. Got hungry.  Fired up the $100 Kijiji gourmet cooking workstation and put a package each of the independent stores in house turkey and chicken sausages to give them a try.

The food’s great.  As for The work from home crowd...  No wonder management and executives kept this for themselves all these years...

And this is how our frigging forklift operators are living!  I ended up in the wrong job.

Don’t forget to call yourself a “hero” for wearing nothing but boxer shorts all day.

The boho/bougie class loves doing that. The struggle is real.

Yeah, no kidding.  I honestly can’t believe they’re getting a $400 no questions asked tax credit for doing it too.  I just roll my eyes.  So this is what it’s like.

Reality intervened shortly after, actually.  I ended up changing into construction gear and tossing a bunch of equipment into the truck for an after hours service call up north. Check out dinner:

Nothing but the finest bourgeois busting happening here.  The table is the hood on my truck.  The cuisine is fast food.  The dress code is hiviz coveralls, a hard hat, and steel toe boots. The location?  The northwest corner of King and Yonge.  No, not the one you change from the streetcar to the subway at, the one up in Richmond Hill.

Seemed like a good place to stop for a fast bite to eat on the way up to the site I was headed to.  And I sure as hell wasn’t “coding” or doing “UX” or “app development” when I got there.  I guess I'm getting disqualified from BlogTO after all.  :D

Lunch: There was a small tray of deviled eggs (with my name on it LOL) at Safeway Deli. Needless to say, I could resist to pop a few in the old pie hole when I got home.

Supper: Deluxe Arugula Salad. Arugula, pulled chicken, crispy onion, multi-grain croutons tossed in Parmesan Oil & vinegar dressing. Garnished with tomato wedges, Brie cheese wedges and deviled eggs.

Dessert: fruit plate consisting of a banana, a Mandarin orange and a slice of watermelon.
