cmc12
Please don't kill me... I made a mistake. It was not 2034, it was 2033 bing removed that I saw...sorry. They've actually cleared out several buses from there... only 116, 622, 2028, 8714, 8715 & 8720 remain
YRT-Guy
I would have cleared this up anyways. As 2034 is in the Miller shop having a wire harness replaced and 2035 and 2036 are still in the yard parked for service. Possibly they are just clearing out making room at the bowes yard? Getting ready for the next shipment of retirees? I'm going to have to run to the 404 Plaza sometime and grab a photo of 2020 before its retired, it's been on 58 many times recently. cmc12
After almost 2 months, 2009 has taken its first victim: 107 is now retired and parked at Bowes, next to 622. It appears to have suffered fire damage to the engine compartment:
cmc12
There appears to be a 30 foot Orion 1 now parked at Bowes, beside 107. I'm somewhat convinced that its 2020, as I've seen all the others active this past week. I'll confirm tomorrow.

I haven't seen 2020 for while and the route it normally frequented, route 58, has generally been EZ Rider or SLF lately.

They must have been towed in the afternoon, as I still saw 107 and 116 in the lot this morning.

general682002
526 is off the road. From what the driver told me when one of the Region's department test out the bus, it had major structural issues and it's been pulled off the road for the last couple of weeks, so it's retired. But, I will check it out if it's really retire as the farebox and Init system are still intact and it just had the MTO sticker not long ago, Jan 09. Stayed tuned. D. DeLarge
2021 is still running. Indeed it is, although it was signed up NIS: And while I'm posting, 8801 was on the 31 as well:
Enzo Aquarius
Indeed it is, although it was signed up NIS: And while I'm posting, 8801 was on the 31 as well: I was on the GO train right there and then at Aurora. I took a photo of 2021 from the accessible cab door while we were there (the one I just posted), and saw 8801 as well, but it was too far to take a photo. Talk about a small world. Also, 9002 was on 223 and 518 on 54. As well, do you know why 2021 was Not in Service? I was curious when the train pulled into the station. Haven't a clue, probably something wrong with it...nobody got on but a pair of drivers (possible they were mechanics...)

I saw two YRT workers with safety vests on walking nearby, may have been drivers checking on it indeed.

Considering Newmarket is contracted under First Student, do the drivers there have to wear safety vests?
Enzo Aquarius
Considering Newmarket is contracted under First Student, do the drivers there have to wear safety vests? They don't have to, but I do see them with safety vests on odd occasions. A driver on route 44 always wears one. I wouldn't be surprised if they had to wear them at the garage though.
