MCIBUS
Sure it does. With phase two the line will be extended asnd a separate train is going to be used on the Airport link. They should of kept the Bombardier traind for the airport link?
HB_1024
You can't use incompatible trains on the same line. Those three Bombardier units would require extensive reworking to make them compatible with the LINT fleet, not to mention a complete rebuild since they are 20 years old, AND one unit needs repairs after a derailment. It's not even remotely worth the taxpayer dollars when the cost of all of that falls in line with the cost of new trainsets, and you have to buy a large number of trainsets anyways: even assuming no spares and airport units being a single trainset (where the rest are double, unless that's changed) and six trains on the mainline with two doing the airport spur (ie roughly status quo frequency), we need 14 trains, eight more than we have now. To maintain existing spare ratios (or even come close), we need well over 20. Even as much as I think the Talent is a better design than the LINT by a long shot (interior layout at least), there's no chance of them running here again. Stage 2 will require far more than 2 new train sets and the Trillium line is operating fine with the 6 that it has. Any new trains for Stage 2 would probably be bought during construction. With the Confederation Line approaching completion it would make more sense if they were just adding two new trains for that line instead. Maybe because of new capacity projections or something. Really, it's exactly as it says. They were originally planning on building Greenboro style entrances at a bunch of stations. Instead, they will use that funds for the second entrance at Tunney's, which is required first, and wasn't part of RTG's contract. They will still install a few ticket machines along the southeast transitway.
JCL
Next Wednesday, the Transit Commission will be dealing with a report concerning changes to the Transit Bylaw: http://app05.ottawa.ca/sirepub/mtgviewer.aspx?meetid=7310&doctype=agenda&itemid=372351 One particular change, that is currently under media attention, is to permit customers to bring small animals onto the system. Enjoy, Charlie I remember that. It was not really a new idea, as paper money had always been frowned upon by OC management, but the regular adult fare had recently passed one dollar for the first time and the number of dollar bills being stuffed in to fareboxes skyrocketed (express fares had been over a dollar for the past few years, but most express customers used passes). Fortunately for OC Transpo, the loonie was introduced in 1987 and dollar bill use dropped dramatically after that, and the Bank of Canada stopped issuing dollar bills in 1989. MCIBUS
But that's all mute know. With the Prestro card and with the Loonie & Toonie and no longer having the penny. Although there still might be an issue with Prestro. For what ever reason(not sure why) sometimes it says tou either don't have a monthly pass or money on the card even though you do have one of the two, you get into an agruement with the driver over fare dispute. At least when you had the paper pass and you had the right month no problem(usually, but rare odd time not)you showed your pass and that was it. Now its pay up or get off the bus, even though your in the right and OC is in the wrong, since you have valid fare on your Prestro card.

No, you are never in the right without a valid fare. Valid fare permits one to board, invalid or lack of fare does not. If your Visa was declined at a commercial establishment, would you still get your purchase? You can ask the operator to help you out, but it is their job to check fares (though some don't bother). Presto can be problematic, but there's nothing stopping you from reclaiming your fare from OC Transpo if it really was Presto's fault. I hope you bring that attitude along with you in all aspects of life.
Oc4526
From Octrannspo.com. Tuesday February 20, 2018 Technical Difficulties for 560-560 and 560-1000 Systems The 560-560 text and 560-1000 systems are experiencing technical issues affecting schedule information on some routes, and only today's schedule is available for 560-1000. Schedules can be checked at octranspo.com or the myTransit app. You may also call us and speak to a live representative at (613)741-4390. We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible and apologize for any inconvenience. The 560-1000 and Para Transpo automated IVR system scheduled maintenance will occur on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 12:00 PM. This may cause minor disruptions in service. This will cause downtime for a period of approximately 15 minutes. Presto Delay Some OC Transpo customers are experiencing delayed updates to the balance displayed in their PRESTO account. OC Transpo is working to resolve this backlog, and balances should appear correctly again within a few days. Until then, please note that fare is still deducted when you tap your card to ride, and you can still load funds normally.

MCIBUS
For the Trillium Line I say within 3 months(need to get decals made first) For the Confederation Line same time Line except only time you'll see them when testing or when service goes into effect. But there's one catch? The contest will need to be run again in late 2023 when Phase 2 is opened and the next order of trains are built and assemble for Phase 2 not sure of the number mentioned for Phase 2 for both Line & Line 2. For Line 2 if there going to maintain a 8 min service, there no way 6 trains can go from Bayview to Letruim or where ever its so pose to end.
