Found several more First Canada X3-45's this morning. Quite curious how many of these they now have. I am also suspecting that any of the coaches not numbered in their 6 digit numbering system may be leases. Here's some images: http://www.flickr.com/photos/vehicle-image...57626097232542/

600 thru 630 are 2010's for the cnrl oil sands project and 640-654 are 2014's for the Kearl Oil sands project

I started a new Wiki page for First Canada, as the units are no longer operating under the Cardinal name so putting them there is inaccurate.

http://cptdb.ca/wiki...le=First_Canada

The intention is to have any coach with just the First Canada logo on it on there, formerly operated by Cardinal or not, and all new spottings!

I'll have to go through this thread and photos and add the X3-45s like 630!

But here are my catches of the day which prompted me to make the change:

First_Canada_2801.jpg

for your wiki list, 600 thru 630 are 2010's (Detroit series 60 with allison) for the cnrl oil sands project and 640-654 are 2014's (volvo d13 with allison) for the Kearl Oil sands project and 988 is officially retired

A former Intercar Prevost XL-II apparently spent some time operating for First Canada as #27613 somewhere in Northern Alberta before being sold to Canada Coach Lines.  It appears to be being used for parts only.

Yes, it was at the oil sands kearl lake site... I drove her a bunch, she was one of the best ones i drove up there. tragically though after only having her for a short time up north, they did an inspection on it and it turns out that the frame and routed out and was deemed unroad worthy. we had 3 of them. damn you ontario and quebec road salt

In regards to the "7-11" Prevost Mirage XLs, along with those two (as Brian pointed out), the two blue Mirage's (28353 and 28xxx) were also pulled out of service about a year and a half ago after a quick stint at the Fort Hills site (after being transferred from Kearl), the only 2 Mirage's we have left are 2200 and 2201 which both have been brought back to Fort Hills.  A number of X345s have been transferred from the CNRL and town sites to Fort Hills and the yard at Kearl has quite a number of newer MCI J's and D4505s waiting to be plated.

Any updates on the fleet up north. I haven’t been up there since I last replied. My buddy that still drives up there says that first group only has the CNRL contract now.

Oh goodness Brian, we have soooo much to catch up on ?

Yeah, First is only doing the CNRL contracts at Horizon and the Albian part that they bought off Shell a few years back.  After we lost the contract for FH and Kearl to Diversified,  Imperial gave the contract to Diversified under the agreement that 80%(?) of the current First drivers there were to be retained so they're pretty much all up there still.  The Fort Hills contract is completely gone and after the layoffs back ion 2018 some went over to Diversified and others started doing shutdowns at CNRL which became more permanent, so some of us are up there.  First does have the contract for the LNG plant up at Kitimat, quite a few up there, supposedly its starting to look like Fort Hills 2.0 LOL!

The last month of Fort Hills was pretty cool, just drove buses down to Edmonton, mostly to get auctioned off, flew back, and took another bus the next day.  Good times man, good times.   I sure miss it.

I hear First lost the contract for inside runs in the Kitimat site to Diversified according to a buddy up there right now.

It has been a minute everyone but I recently finished the trucking owner operator saga of my life... ill never do that again. Anyway I got to drive this last year regularly out of the oil sands sites and noticed that there are two different versions of first group up there now. First Canada and First Miksew.... I think that how it is spelt. They look like the same disorganized messed I left up there 8 years ago. They still have the CNRL contract from the looks of things and also look like they have some town to site runs.
