I saw an American Greyhound MC-12 unit leaving the bus station in Ottawa yesterday. It was # 3004, in the new paint job and signed up "Toronto".

This is a GLI unit that has been transferred to GCTC as #8004. I've noticed that the low #s 8001-8005, ex 3000, 3002-3005 were not actually renumbered, but

they are now GCTC.

Below is the list of units. Units in RED have yet to enter service.

Today I saw Catanya Coachways & Thompson Valley Charters doing overloads/scheds through Salmon Arm. Probably a frustrating day for drivers/dispatchers and passengers alike with poor road conditions from the Alberta border to Revelstoke + delays due to avalanche control. The Vancouver trip this afternoon was running at least a hour and a half late.

Golden Arrow did an overload on the 1201 am out of Edmonton to Grande Prairie on tues night...the regular left 1 hr late golden arrow left at like 230am. Golden Arrow got into gp at 745am and the regular broke down in Whitecourt...what a mess so that would not have got into gp until about 1030 was the eta(reg.arrival 530am) A big mess for sure they deadheaded another bus out of edmonton at about 4am to whitecourt. And the rest of the day for most part is a write off, as the driver who gets in at 530 leaves at 215pm normally, not sure what happened with that cause it sure would not have been the same driver. On top of that the southbound from Fort Nelson left full 2 hrs late and still had to pick up people in Fort St John. and would not get into gp at 330 at the earliest, but no driver to take it back to Edmonton.

Today in Salmon Arm: ISL 997, CBL 928, Pinacle E no number that I could see but the roads were sloppy and the coach was dirty.

The Pinnacle E is probably Ex-Banff Trans/Tours #401. Unless they've picked up another one from elsewhere.

What ended up happening is the one that came in late from Edmonton left late for Dawson Creek/Whitehorse at 1230 pm(original time 6am) The afternoon to dawson/ft st john left at 140pm so 2 buses an hour apart goin the same route until ft st john. They then deadheaded yet another bus to Dawson Creek to pull the morning trip back leaving Dawson Creek at 11am and Gp at 215pm which went back with the Golden Arrow...65 total passengers, Golden Arrow took all the by Edmonton beyond passengers and did an Express to Edmonton with a 20 minute break in Whitecourt, and. And that day the driver from Prince George did a Dawson Creek-Fort St John-Dawson Creek trip before he did his 10:30am regular to Prince George. And they cabbed the passengers from Grande Prairie to Dawson Creek that day, cause their were no available coaches to assist in Grande Prairie. Anyways that screwed up the next day somewhat too.

All week overloads into Grande Prairie mostly Mountain Pacific, one Golden Arrow did a trip, and on the 23rd the 2pm Grande Prairie local out of Edmonton overloaded(both hounds), and the same day the midnight overloaded, and was 2 hrs late . The 2pm overload deadheaded back to Edmonton, and the Mountain Pacific did the 215 regualr leaving at 3pm, with only 30 people. They then basically ran the regular which had only freight with a trailer on that same run leaving Gp at 415pm with 0 passengers, the driver had to have his 8 hrs rest and instead of leaving a bus in gp and the driver cushioning home, they did it that way. Now its dec 25 and they are having to deadhead another coach to gp do the 215 run as the 11am from ft nelson had bus issues( they already have 3 coaches with trailers in ft nelson)all being fixed from breakdowns over the last 10 days.

I saw Mountain Pacific 2320 in Grande Prairie on an overload came up on the midnight out of Edmonton on Wed and went back on the 215. I believe it is ex Maverick and ex Satellite, it was an MCI-9 I believe early to mid 80's. Was definentley an ex coach of both these companies now. The legals read ; Owned by G&R Foods, Operated by Mountain Pacific. Also saw a Century McMynn lease coach operating for Mountain Pacific on came in on the Midnight Fri into Gp and left as the regualar at 3pm out of Grande Prairie. I think 1873 or something like that.

Grande Prairie still experiencing overloads/heavy traffic in and out. The midnight out of Edmonton has overloaded almost everyday for a week and a half, and thesame with the 215 out of Grande Prairie to Edmonton.

At the Calgary Terminal on Christmas Eve were Thompson Valley Charter 942 (White) & Thompson Valley Charter 944 (Green), both ex-Canadian Hounds of course.

I ran the regular truck that left on the evening of the 23rd for Coquitlam. When I arrived that morning around 11:00am, Thompson Valley 942 was just leaving for Edmonton. It struck me as really odd when I saw her turning left instead of right. I saw her again on the 30th in Calgary again heading for Edmonton.

I didn't see this for myself, but I heard that Tai-Pan tours were doing Sudbury to Ottawa overload runs on Dec 24th.

Tai-Pan Tours do not own any buses. The transportation service is contracted out to AZ Bus Tour. I saw a AZ Bus Tour bus in downtown Toronto yesterday. I also saw a Leduc bus as well.

AZ Bus does Greyhound runs, it's always on going usually on weekends and Holidays.

Bumping this thread up for 2011 Christmas overload season, lets hear about what you're seeing out there.

Edmonton drivers we're saying midnight to Saskatoon has been overloading pretty much every night.

We had a driver cushion from Grande Prairie to Dawson Creek doing extra board to pick up a bus and follow the regular to Ft Nelson arrival 145pm and overload the one coming down from Whitehorse at 3am going to Dawson Creek, apparently they only had 4 seats left as of yesterdayaccording to Trips out of Ft Nelson. And they still had all day today to sell tickets. Been Seein pretty Heavy Loads out of Grande Prairie, but no overloads yet.

At the Ottawa bus station waiting for family to arrive. They have Skyport 9167 going to Hull / Gatineau. A Trillium Coach 2602 just came in from Toronto. Many ex-Hotard H3-45 hounds here along with two 86xxx series X3-45 buses. Groupe Galland bus 463 just arrived from Montreal.

Cullingford Coaches # 66 just arrived in Ottawa I assume from the Toronto Area. An older MCI silverside. Looks like an ex-Wills bus and is in great shape.
