whats going on with the HFD incidents? Whenever engine 12/ladder 12 get a alarm call, they come on scene, and randomly add P15, but pump 15 never shows up? they do this for a lot of other units as well like pump 16, and tanker 16

I believe that the HFD dispatches named full time units to almost all calls and just a pages out to the closed part time station and waits to see what responds to the call. The stations have a protocol on what apparatus goes on different calls. That is why E12 and L12 shows up and P15, P16, T16 and SQ16 sometimes shows up and sometime they don't.

EMS budgeted vehicle replacements for 2022.

  • 6 Ambulances
  • 3 Emergency Response Vehicle's
  • 1 Emergency Support Unit

Delivery can take up to 10 - 12 months. Expect delivery early 2023!

Im assuming this is not including the 8 or 9 ambulances that have been sitting at the back of Victoria base for some time now. 2 of them (2010 and 2013)  have just recently been put in service.

Playing around with the image recognition search on my phone looking for something and came across these shots I grabbed on December 21, 2018.  They were too good to pass up on posting.  I guess anyone can have a car conk out:

Also seen in the right side on the last one, look carefully at the sign on the building, an honest to god mom and pop TV repair shop.  Unreal.

Pump 16 is using a new Whelen siren, instead of a EQ2B

I have heard rumor that HFD is switching back to the Whelan type siren from the E2QB. I heard this 3rd person so.not sure the validity of it.

New Ladder 10 was at station 13 a few days back, and New Ladder 24 was at the training agency.

I'm curious to what the New pumpers will be. I know it'll be E3 and E4 but there are 4 more pumpers on order. Probably replacing the 2008 KMEs?

S12 has been in service running marine rescues for a while now. EMS is getting brand new Tahoes

It was E45 a few weeks back. E11 has been getting repaired at Dependable.

New Ladder 24 is in service now, wonder how long it'll take for the old one to become spare or if they're taking it to training / retiring it.

Both old L10 & L24 are becoming spare ladders.

I'd assume so because KME Excels seem to be more reliable trucks than the rest.

Foam 1 has spent some time down at training. I've seen it run by Station 1. I've been told it's at station 7 but can't confirm it yet.

Anyways does anyone know if that June 2024 delivery deadline for the 2 pumps are confirmed? I hope it's not too late.

Another weird thing I noticed is that Hamilton got whelens on all the new trucks from 2021 to 2022 then now that L24 is here it has a EQ2B. What was the point of that??

Anyone able to confirm if new L10 is in service?

The new tanker on order I believe will replace the current tanker 27 then the old t27 will replace t41 and have it run spare.

New Ladder 10 is in service and looks amazing with the tinted rear windows. Ladder 40 is chilling at station 10. The stickers showing ladder and L10 almost make it look like a Chicago Fire truck.

I noticed Station 11 is still using E45 and Station 3 is listed as using their brand new truck. Will ex-E3 become E11, or is the plan to look at demos or used trucks to become the new E11? Or is E45 the new E11?
