It's great to see that they're being reused instead of simply being thrown away. I wonder if the city of Mendoza plans to repaint them or if they'll just keep the old paint scheme.

they repainted the trolleys

Red Green and Blue are great colours

There is one flyer trolley that was somehow sold on ebay before they were retired, now that i remember.

Uhh... Details!?

I got this from a TRAM's member :P, unfortunately no fleet number is known or the owner, though I do know that they had plans to turn it into a motorhome.

Why would anyone try to turn a Trolley into a motorhome ?? They would need to tow a Generator with them, would they not ??? Makes no sense to me.

Regards

Bump

Anyone know how many of these are left?

Trolleys were temporarily taken out of service in Mendoza for an infrastructure overhaul but they were already outnumbered by locally produced units when that happened. Saw a video of one running posted on Facebook recently but I don't know if it's an old video or something recent.

Wasn't there a donation drive or campaign some time ago (certainly not years ago) for the possibility of 2716 (and maybe one other unit) to be shipped to Vancouver?

I think there was a fundraiser within the last five years or so. However, TRAMS can't take anything at the moment and is trying to get rid of buses so...

Matthew Laird The problem wasn't getting our hands on one, it was shipping. The prez spent a few months trying to find a shipper, no one was interested in doing a one-off shipment of a single bus. from the trams facebook page

We actually need to get rid of buses. Not sure what's happening with the BBC trolley (guy in Bulgaria wants to buy it but I escalated that to the president) but here's the other bus we want to let go:

That thing has been up for sale for months now.

You guys would be better of selling it for scrap or on an actual car selling website such as Bring A Trailer or Govdeals
