GojiMet86
So it looks like 2216, 2218, 2221, 2222, 2226, and 2227 have had their fareboxes removed...... Because apparently, they will actually be entering service with MTA Bus!

Everytime they move buses between Transit and MTA Bus, they have to switch out the fareboxes. I just read your last statement @GojiMet86 regarding the Eastchester move possibly for 2210-2228. Eastchester is gonna fix those buses nice and have them running for another 2 years at most. I'm not sure what's taking the XDE40s so long to enter service when we had been testing them since 2018. Well for the xde40 it was supposed to be march/april but that’s long since passed. Probably soon since both pilots recently went back. The 2018 order was to evaluate which hybrid system to use. I don’t think those served as pilot buses for this order specifically though, which is what 9510 and 9560 have done since late 2020. XD40 pilot should be soon? —— -never mind this is what i get for reading page 56 and hittingreply with realizing there is a page 57-

Chris.A
2009 Orion VII NG hybrid #4424 is OOS at Eastchester depot. Awaiting farther information as to the status of that bus. Also, it appears that another XN40 is also out of service from West Farms (unit # unknown at this time) after colliding with a motorcycle and then catching fire in the front of the bus. Again, awaiting farther details. Also, is #808 retired or what?

That’s not to say they won’t go to Eastchester soon, though. Unsure where 2219,2221,2227 have been today, it’s possible those were transferred at some point today but the change has not been reflected yet if that is the case. 2213,2216 are physically at Eastchester but are still assigned to Castleton. 2222 and 2226 are the only buses actually assigned to Eastchester right now. — as of 5/10 10:22p
NYC2MTL
9563 is built. Brand new XDE40... Uncertain to it's destination.. However, if it's destination East New York, it would join 9510, and 9560. A couple of takeaways 1) A bit surprised that Kingsbridge is still keeping their set of NG's. Would of thought some of those buses would transfer to Queens or Brooklyn (Fresh Pond). 2) The same goes for Manhattanville and TU. Some of those 3800's at least need to be out for MTA bus, and maybe the 3900's back to MQ 3) MQ is slowly getting rid of O7's. 4) I wonder what the Brooklyn Division is gonna look like in the near future. I drove by EN the other day and the artic spacing is almost complete.
