Yeah, I believe that Far Rockaway may be next in line for these buses. They haven't gotten anything new since 2007!

It appears that the MTA will be jumping around numbers so that other depots can get their sets of the new buses.

Far Rockaway is scheduled next after Eastchester.. They should be getting the 1400's batch along with Eastchester.  Far Rockaway just sent back 1319 back to College Point which means their batch is on the way.

Are we 100% sure of this? I have seen no pictures or registrations. What is the source for you?

Again, are we 100% sure? If yes, where’s it gonna go? MHV? OH? Hale?

Well, 152 hybrids are bound for MHV depot, retiring all their remaining 2006 Orion VII OG Hybrids and pushing the 2008 Orion VII NG hybrids to MTA bus company and the 2009 and 2010 Orion VII NG hybrids, elsewhere.

I can't help but wonder if some of the Orion VII Next Generation hybrids will be retired from these orders, because there are way too many buses coming in to replace just the remaining 450+ Orion VII OG hybrids. MHV depot is getting an entirely new fleet, first time since 2005-2009 era. That will certainly be responsible in retiring all remaining 2006 Orion VII OG hybrids and pushing all remaining 2007-08 Orion VII NG hybrids to MTA bus Company. Many of the 2009 and 2010 units will probably also go to MTA bus to retire their 2006 and 2007 Orion VII OG hybrids as well, but It is also possible that atleast the NGs #3800-4278 could be retiring soon, while #4330-4702 stay over in Brooklyn, maybe possibly return to Staten Island as well? In any case, expect Manhattan to be Orion VIIfree by next year. It's also interesting to see that ENY depot is no longer getting Nova LFS's. This pretty much confirms that for the most part, the XD40s are going to run in former RTS controlled areas while the LFS's are going to the former Orion V areas.

I don’t foresee the 4330-4702 batch returning at all to Staten Island. The main purpose for those buses to move to the mainland is that those buses while in Staten Island was packing miles and miles. If anything that batch will be solely Brooklyn Division with exception of Ulmer Park and Jackie Gleason and for Queens Division to receive buses : Queens Village and Casey Stengel. Exception would be Jamaica.

At some point, the MTA will also likely need another bus Express bus order too, because there won't be enough X3-45s off this current order (even with the options) to retire 500+ MCI Cruisers. Expect another 250 or so OTR order to be made soon as well.

Hopefully, we get more MCI. I’m not the biggest prevost fan. However, it’s something I’ve gotten accustomed to in the years we’ve received them.  Especially, driverside wraps. Since the MTA no longer does rear wrapping of their buses.

2008 Orion VII NG hybrid #3955 is out of service due to an accident on the M4 it had 2 days ago. Status of the bus is currently unknown, but that's the 4th NG to be taken out of service in the past few weeks along with #4560, and CNGs (from NICE) #1727 and #1737 (although the CNGs are in the process of getting replaced to my understanding.

3955 is heading to the scrap yard. No need to repair that bus at this point. It’s been reported via NYCTF.

Not so fast, it depends on the damage of the bus. Is there even any proof of this accident, because i can't find it anywhere.

Bus was working on the M4 on Friday and it suffered a lot of front end damage similar to 4560.  Personally, I have no pictures and no clue if the accident occurred in Midtown or uptown. However, from what I was told that the bus will head to the scrap yard.

Speaking of #4560, what is the status of that one? That one didn't look too damage. They should just fix those buses, because this is way too soon to retire them (same with NICE bus as well).

Good question. Last checked it’s still being held by investigators.

1557 at Meredith Avenue. It appears that the NYCT portion of the delivery will commence soon.

I heard that supposedly, the 2011-2012 X3-45s (#2400-2489) are going to MTA bus company. Is that still part of the plan?

Not sure, have yet to see pics of #3955 myself. I do know that CNG #1703 is retired from Mitchell Field depot and is completely stripped of parts. NICE even removed most of the window panels!

That is correct. I think for now the Meredith Avenue batch will head to MTA bus. Uncertain with Ulmer Park. If the Ulmer Park batch leaves for MTA bus than I can see Meredith sending most of its 2015/16 x3-45’s to Ulmer.  Meredith is scheduled to get all 50 in this order. The option order of 1607-1628 has been exercised according to NYCTF source. However, no depot has been assigned as of yet.

I would assume that they would go to which ever depot that still has the remaining 2001-2002 D4500 buses.

No mention of the 7 or so remaining D4500s at Yukon. Do those get replaced by new buses on this order or are they replaced by shifting of some of the 2015/2016 from Meredith as they get new ones with the shift over of their 2011 fleet to Bus Co.?

given how all 50 of the nycta units are going to meredith and how the 7 d4500s are located at yukon, replacement would probably happen through a garage transfer..

That is correct.  Also, 22 option buses have been exercised so bus order will be up to 1628.  So Yukon and Ulmer will get additional 2015/2016 x3-45’s.

My understanding was that the option order is for fleet expansion to take over the sim23 and 24 instead of bus replacement/displacement, unless that changed.
