For all we know, it may still be in Canada. #9560 to ENY.
Orion6025
Down to 6532, 6545, 6548, 6600 now though 6545 and 6548 appear to be done with service despite being rostered. 6557 was the last at Fresh Pond. This essentially confirms that 6532 will be the last active 2004 Orion VII HEV, while 6600 will be the last active 2005 Orion VII HEV. Both are still assigned to JFK Depot, though they are currently operating out of the Far Rockaway satellite right now (Both buses have the Q21 today). It remains to be seen which of the two will be the last standing, or if they will retire together.

Budget cuts have been proposed, I think if they go through implementation will be 5/2021 That stupid idiot!! That NG (#4048) better not have been damaged! In other news, in light of the budget cuts, there was talk about reducing the subway fleet by 35%. Does anyone know what could possibly get prematurely retired as a result? If the IRT sees major cuts, could the R62s and R62As get scrapped early? As for buses, I can see ALL remaining Orion VII OG hybrids (mostly the MTA bus ones as the NYCTA units are getting replacements) be retired prematurely with little to no replacements along with Most of the MCI D4500CL fleet (although they do have that pending Prevost order of 300+ buses). Some NGs may go too (mostly the #3800-3959 batch, but if the cuts are really severe, than I can see #3960-4278 also going bye bye). I know that the 2008-2009 Orion VII NG CNGs at NICE bus ( #1700-1799) are going to be retired starting next year into 2022/23, so I guess this will mark the beginning of the end for alot of the areas NG fleets as well (SCT is also due for major cuts next year as well, so many of their 2010 Orion VII NG clean diesel buses may also be put on the chopping block(some have already retired)). Orion6025
I put up some miscellaneous updates to garage assignments, delivery dates, etc to the main wiki table (on order section and the 1300-1629,9620-9784,9510-9619 rows) last night. I’m not retyping everything for a second time here but notable notes include prevost delivery starting jan 2021, nova hybrids in feb 2021, new flyer hybrids in mar/apr 2021, and nova diesels in late 2021/early 2022. In the short term, the following bus series will be retired NYCTA 2006/7 Orions Bus co, NYCTA 2001/2002 MCI bus co 2005/2006 mci ( majority), seems theyve decided to delay 2007 mci retirement? I’m hearing different things about what the NYCTA Prevosts will be replacing now updated garage assignments will be listed later this week

All units that were at East NY depot have been sent to Eastchester with #6791 having been towed there earlier in the week and the last to go. Fresh Ponds still have a couple units in storage however. Looks like Fresh Pond will get more buses from either EN or FB to replace the remainder of the OG-Gen2's. Good update on 6824.

It helps that the MTA no longer has any CNG buses up for immediate replacement. What it boils down to is how soon the MTA wants to retire the C40LF and when they want to/are able to buy ZEBs in significant quantities. Of course there are the other outlying cases like expanding articulated bus fleets at CNG-capable depots ,but that conversation has been quiet as of late. It just dawned on me that the MTA has not purchased any flameless window buses since the Orion 7.501 Next Generation Hybrid/CNG orders. How come they don't do that anymore? I would think they would look good on the Xcelsiors (NICE bus reverted to frameless windows with their XN40s after their last couple of Orion VII CNG orders)?
