A possible reason for not honoring the tax holiday could be the hassle of re-programming the cash register(s). Actually twice, once to honor it and once more to start charging it again. Just a thought.

I've seen in recent times that many businesses (even government organizations) have decided to cease any new postings on Twitter - I mean "X".

While this may be mixed to some, it is the best interest for the public to cease any new postings (and eventually permanently closing) on the "X" account.

I remembered the time that I once had an "X" account - but sadly, I've been a target of many hated people in the online time. I even got myself blocked by a radio DJ of a local radio station and even - an app developer of a smartphone app (indirectly related to "X").

I would imagine if the city does like council proceedings - on a social media network called "Twitch". Many people won't know what "Twitch" is, however.

Sitting in the Ikea food court looking down on the parking lot, a person loaded their merchandise into their car, then proceeded to scrape a full covering of snow off their windshield. They weren't under a tree, light fixture, or anything else from which snow could have conceivably fallen.

Just how long were they parked there?!?!?!

Presented without commentary.

I managed to try https://crazy-balls.casino/ and I can say that the game is really interesting. At first, it also seemed to me that it was just some kind of roulette modification, but in fact, the game is much more exciting. To begin with, it is worth noting that Crazy Balls combines both elements of luck and strategic moments. The game is played with a live dealer, which already gives the feeling of a real casino, and this significantly increases involvement. You do not just sit and wait for the balls to fall, but really follow the process and try to influence its outcome.

What's the catch?

I heard from one of my coworkers yesterday that the day before she saw a customer who looked like me and walked like me. I was off that day and didn't go anywhere near the Home Depot I work at. My Coworker said this look-a-like was driving an electric car (I drive a gas Honda Civic with no plans to replace it).

We joked that maybe time travel has been invented and it's me from the future. Though if that was the case, I don't know what I'd go to this past Wednesday unless it's a dry run. If I got access to a time machine, there's other time periods I would have gone to. And I'd also have saved TTC 8058.

When I received a phone call on my mobile (cell) phone from my mom, dad, my sister or even a business or someone - I got a indication that the number has been verified and it has a green checkmark.

Does anyone have any idea on what I'm talking about?

Probably a new service from your cell provider. When I get a call or text that is unverified, it will read 'Likely Scam' or something similar.  I'm with Rogers.

Thanks. I'm with Virgin (that runs on Bell) and while this feature may be ideal to determine if the call is legit/verified, there might be cases in which a scammer could use a verified number (from an innocently legitimate business that I don't deal with for example) to scam the caller!

Still on the topic of texts, many banks/credit unions also offer purchase alerts aside from fraud alerts for instance.

The other day, I've attempted made a purchase from a legit website and entered my credit card number (the credit card that I have was the CWB MasterCard) in - all of sudden, my card got declined and at the same time, I got a fraud alert notification stating if I made that purchase from the site. They gave me an option to either reply the word "VALID" or "FRAUD". I then reply with the latter and the card was restricted (despite that the site was legit).

I later called the credit card company explaining what had happened and they were able to remove the restriction. Moral of the story: consider using PayPal (linked with another credit card)!
