Sent a final notice to my current employer that I'll be leaving the company after nearly six years in January. I notified one of two bosses that my resignation letter is in the office. The guy looks at me, and says harshly, "that doesn't concern me" and walks away.

Told my colleagues what happened and they tell me, after six years, this is how they treat me? Well it as much as I'm insulted, I'll be laughing on my last day which is in three weeks at time of post, knowing I'll never have to see this a$$hole again.

That's unfortunate.  The thing is, it doesn't just tell you what that place is really like, it tells all of your co-workers who are still working there what it's really like.  Your boss didn't think word of that wasn't going to go around?  Now everyone knows and they'll be taking it into consideration with respect to the level of effort they put in.  Your boss might have gotten some perverse, private personal satisfaction by dumping on you because you're quitting but he sure screwed up the long game with the employees who still work there by doing that since there's no way they weren't going to find out about it.

Also, going home from work. Took the bus to the suburbs. There's dirty needles on the ground of the bus. Come on.. I get there's a opioid crisis and it's become a issue. At least take your paraphalia with you so no one else gets accidently stabbed and infected. Yes I told the driver.

Lovely.  Just lovely.   That really is a serious public health hazard.  Did they put the bus out of service and get everyone off before someone could get stuck with one of those so they could get it cleaned up?

No he knew that I was leaving a few weeks ago, I just never gave my final notice as I wanted to ensure that the details were confirmed. My other boss said instead of a 30 Day notice, I can give a 20 Day notice. He said he would work with me any days I need off prior to my last day but it seems like that boss doesn't give a shit either anymore. When I told that a$$hole that I was leaving, He told me to run and take it followed by an offer me to continue working at the company in other positions. I declined as I wouldn't know how my schedule would play out. Plus, this new job is only 10 minutes from home and not 35 like my current job. Kind of wondering if he thinks I'll fail at the new job. I didn't bother really telling anyone that I'm leaving as gossip spreads like wildfire at my workplace with the girls and all. (There's 42 females and 8 Males at my work) so I wanted to leave in secrecy. But notified management and some of the guys I closely worked with.  I don't need gossip / drama that goes on, wanting only to be my friend for the benefits at my new job. (My new job is at the airport). Here's how it works at my job, when a female is quitting or has a problem, management responds immediately. When a guy leaves, the door is right there and your on your own. Funny enough, one of the guys asked if there will a "party" on my last day, which is common for some on their last day. I laughed and said no, it's just goodbye, so long, maybe I'll stop by and visit.

As for the needles on the bus, the operator didn't seem to care. He got out of his seat, looked at it also gave me a weird look, thinking I planted it there. He continued the route and about a couple minutes after I reported it, I got off and walked home. I'm not quite sure what happened after. According to one of the transit apps, the bus is still running on that route. I sure hope other people reported it and they got it off the bus.

Haven't gotten any scam calls until now. Ordered a couple things off Ebay and right after,  the calls are going like crazy. I thought leaving my voicemail to me when I was 14 would deter the scammers. It did for awhile. Now they are calling like 10 times a day with the numbers mostly local. I thought Ebay protects my identification. Guess the hackers beat the system.

Room mate didn't come home last night.  Maybe she finally did get abducted by aliens. (She strongly believes in them so maybe her wish did come true). In all seriousness, I hope she is alright.

She came home just after supper time today. All is well.

What kept her out too late, a BF?

She stayed over night at her brothers.  It was getting late and she didn't want him driving her home at night because he is due for cataract surgery and currently isn't supposed to drive at night.

So last night, I had a dream that involved me having to use the toilet at one point. Normal dream right? The weirdest part is when I was done with the toilet in my dream, I woke up and I found that I had actually peed myself...

(I was never a bedwetter)

This wasn't my first time. I had the same thing randomly happen to me twice a few years ago but that was it.

Just because he bought what he thought were the contents of Elvis' septic tank on eBay doesn't give him the right to do what he did. It was his $30Gs and therefore his problem.

Related to that, I came across this post, pretty accurate :P

If this is a reoccurring event, you may want to speak with a doctor.

It's really rare when it occurs for me. This may have been just a random one time thing.

However, I think I know the cause of the two previous events (they both occurred in 2017 fairly close to each other). At the time, I was taking some medication for a few months that made it difficult for my kidneys to get rid of all the protein that accumulated. To compensate for this, I had to drink almost 4 litres of water (along with some soda, juice, or milk) every day (doctor's orders). Because I found it difficult to drink in the morning because I was nauseated, I would often have to drink most of my water during the evening/night hours. I often stayed up until 2AM to get my required intake in. The two bedwetting incidents were most likely caused by me drinking way too much during nighttime.

As for this most recent incident, I have no idea. I don't recall drinking a lot before I went to bed that night. After doing some research, I found that it's a somewhat common phenomenon (called "false awakening") to have your mind somehow incorporate the signal that you need to go into your dream, causing your bladder to sometimes actually release urine in real life when you dream that you're in the washroom for example. It's most common among bedwetters from what I've read but it's not unusual to have it happen once or twice.

OK I am officially fucking PISSED. Imagine my shock to open Amazon today and find that someone stole a photo of CLRV 4041 that I shot at Queen's Quay and Lower Spadina on the evening of June 7, 2016, and is making a pretty penny selling a t-shirt of it!! Holy crap!! Officially licensed my ass.

I'm immediately looking in on what can be done about this. The NERVE of some people in this community!

Woah that's brutal. Sorry to hear that. You can't get in touch with Amazon CS or Amazon Legal about this?

I'd go with option two there in the description...

People think that they can use anything they find on the internet. It’s so stupid, sorry this happened to you. That’s kinda shitty, is there anything legally you can do?

I can try contacting the seller and requesting that they stop, and if that doesn't work out, then I could maybe turn to Amazon customer service and see if there's anything they can do, but otherwise I am doubtful that there's anything I can do.

I suppose that will teach me to not watermark the stuff I put out on the internet. With over 10,000 photos in my collection it might be easier to just discontinue the public-facing side of my Flickr account rather than trying to figure out how batch watermark so many photos.

I just read your posts now.  Holy crap, that's bullshit.  I'm sorry you got ripped off like that.  What a bunch of assholes.  The ad on Amazon says it ships from the USA.  Amazon's also an American company.  Since you've got your original photos in your Flickr account plus the camera original film or files and can prove copyright ownership, you can probably write up a DMCA takedown notice and send it to Amazon which would compel them to pull this asshole's products with your pictures on them from being sold.  It's surprisingly easy to write up a DMCA takedown notice and email it off.  I had no idea until a friend of mine showed me since he does it regularly with his stock photos that routinely get pilfered.  It's a tool worth considering at any rate.

Thanks for your feedback. I haven't done anything yet as my family has urged me to carefully think over what actions I can take to deal with this situation. I had no idea a Canadian could issue a DMCA takedown notice.

I am positive you can take legal action.

This is seriously making me reconsider uploading videos. I will never upload my photos again that's for sure. Transit Toronto stole a few of my scans and photos and made up some BS name until I made them credit me or cease and desist.

Perhaps I could, but the question is, with what money?  A few of my dad's friends weighed in on this issue when it first cropped up, and they said that short of contacting the seller or Amazon customer support, without forking out for a really good lawyer I would be pretty much be SOL.

In the end I decided that the best course of action would be to contact Amazon customer support. They at first did not understand my inquiry, and then once informed, they assured me that they would end up "taking action" without asking for a modicum of proof from me. This was a couple of weeks ago and this listing is still up. Perhaps I should write to the seller directly instead. Fantastic

So I started my new job nearly a month ago and so far, this was one of the best decisions I made in a long time. It was a huge transition where people actually treat you like a human being and all.

Well there's one thing that's different. At last my last job, schedules were emailed to you weekly 10 Days in advance. This place, you get your schedule six weeks in advance. All good, until you realize your schedule is on a app that uses Windows 2008 to Operate. So basically, if you are not accessing your schedule at work, you have to install software that makes it compatible with Windows 2017 or something. Funny, for a multi-billion dollar company, they are really behind. If it works, it works I guess.

You're right. I guess the best thing to do is to not share full resolution photo, watermark them and host them on a site that disables downloading (even though there are browser plugins that can undermine that).
