Bill Davis, the former premier of the Canadian Province of Ontario from 1971 to 1985 had passed away at the age of 92.

Just reading about it and how he was responsible for halting the Spadina Expressway which is now a subway extension and responsible for the Skydome being built. This is along with establishing the 24 community colleges back in the 1960s (I remember there was a special event in 2017 acknowledging the 50 year anniversary).

Bill Davis definitely had a very long term as premier of Ontario. 2nd longest overall at almost 14 years. Longest is Oliver Mowat at almost 24 years and was the third premier of Ontario. A total of 26 premiers of Ontario since 1867 with the lowest being 91 days by Harry Nixon.

UTDC was another Ontario government venture that started up while he was premier too, so he indirectly hand a hand in the creation of the CLRV, ICTS, the  H5 and H6 subway cars as well.
