Spotted Ontario Northland 5072 sitting all day at the Timmins Station

I notice in the background is the new Timmins Transit Terminal that is at the station. Is there any chance that you can post photos of it and some of the TT buses in the Timmins Transit thread? I am curious as to how the new TT terminal is.

I have done a bit of work on the WIKI page for Ontario Northland and noticed that 5033 (of which I have a photo) as well as 5032 (image in this thread) were not listed on the WIKI at all. I have added those two buses to the WIKI listing. But that brings me to believe that there is also a J4500 numbered 5031. Can anyone comfirm or correct that for me please?

As well, I have added my collection of Ontario Northland Photos to my website here:

Hi Peter,

I cannot answer the question about 5031 but in going through my photos, I noticed that 5012 is not shown on the Wiki (photo attached taken in July 2006). This brings up another question of whether there was a 5011?

Nice! Thanks for posting that Kevin. I wonder how many others that are not listed? I have added that coach to the WIKI. I believe it is a 102-DL3 or is it a D4500? Do we know what year that coach is by chance?

In examining the photo more closely, you can clearly see the former fleet number 506 above the drivers window. This would make it a 2001 D4500 according to the Wiki. However, I thought that when MCI changed from 102DL3 to D4500, they also went with the new logo. This bus has the older logo which is normally associated with the 102DL3. Without checking the builders plate, we may never know for sure.

I am not sure how many of the 500 series buses were renumbered but it would be nice to get a fleet roster from Ontario Northland to clear things up.

The 500 series buses where renumbered as follows : 501 to 5991, 502 to 5992, 503, to 5993, 504 to ? 5001, 505 to 5011, 506 to 5012, 507 to 5021, 508 to 5031, 509 to 5032, 510 to 5033, 511 to 5041, 512 to 5042.

5021 is an 2002 J4500, 5031, 5032 & 5033 are 2003 J4500, 5041, 5042 are 2004 J4500, 5051, 5052 & 5053 are 2005 D4500, 5071, 5072 & 5073 are 2007 D4505, 5091 & 5092 are 2009 D4505. 5002 is an 2000 DL3 that was purchased used.

Here is how the fleet number works, example 5091 is the 5 means 45 foot bus, 09 is the year and 1 is the first bus in the group.

Spotted two ONT Prevosts I had yet not seen before: solid white 5021 (license plate 328 2BF), and solid blue 5022 (328 3BF). Both have very minimal markings. Used acquisitions maybe?

5022 is former Acadian Bus Lines from Moncton New Brunswick spotted in Timmins on May 6th but didnt have a camera. I could see Acadian written on it

On the side of the bus its marked owned and operated by the Ontario Northland Transportation Commision

Greyhound had their "owned and operated" markings on the ex-Acadian Prevost buses a few years ago but were still sent back to the leasor.
