More disruptions this weekend:
• Downtown West-Kerby to 69th Street
• Shawnessy to Somerset-Bridlewood

Link:

"We are completing the following repair and maintenance projects including:

  • Annual switch maintenance
  • Tunnel, bridge, canopy and standpipe inspections
  • Tunnel lighting and ventilation inspections
  • Crossing repair work at 162 Avenue crossing
  • Track surfacing between Shawnessy station and 162 Avenue crossing
  • Other projects, which may be completed as time allows. "

Tunnel...? Unless they're referring to the underpass?

The first 3 and the last 1 look like the standard that they use for every closure. Likely an oversight.

There's a number of tunnels along the west line - and the closure says Kerby to 69th Street.

CTrain closure this coming weekend due to work on a stretch of the Red Line's south leg, Chinook to Heritage:

Really, this work (and the couple of closures before, and after), are all to accommodate Roads refurbishment of the Macleod Trail overpass bridge.   There may be a few minor projects by CT to take advantage of the closure, but this is really all for Roads.  Expect many more here.

I notice a couple of planned disruptions this weekend.

As @CTrainDude predicted, there's another closure to accommodate work on the Macleod Trail overpass over the train tracks between Chinook and Heritage.

There's also some single-tracking at Whitehorn.

Moron

I wonder if he/she just slipped on the roads though? I have a friend that works automotive, and he says tire changes are booked into mid-November. Otherwise? I'd probably agree, SUV versus train, and Detroit won't win. ?

That light is red for a looooong time before a westbound train goes through. Besides, the roads weren't THAT bad yesterday

hello, I'm new here, i also heard of a fire at somerset-bridlewood station. anyone have any details on this?

Hey! Welcome!

Well that’s news to me. I know they were short turning trains at Shawnessey because Somerset Bridlewood Station was closed because of a police matter.

That would definitely explain it!

if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask.. don’t be shy and once again welcome to the board!
