Catherine Wilkins
Hello Benton Harper: Welcome to Canada. I hope you enjoy your stay and have a safe visit here while your away from Midland City, IL. In your observations ... have you by chance seen any license plates on those new 5200's ? If you have ... we sure would like your help updating the CPTDB WIKI - Edmonton Transit DATS Page. Thank you very much Benton.

Well Now, thank you for the warm welcome, you are so much more welcoming than your local authorities. With the land borders closed, and air transport subject to quarantine, I had to consider the old underground railway, or parachuting into Canada. Luckily I was able to make my way across, staying on the down low and was able to see the DATS deliveries. Alas, your authorities tracked me down and turned me over to your Health Services Peace Officers (they are armed btw) where I ran afoul of them as they were none too happy to see my runny nose and incarcerated me at a Travel Lodge on 45th Avenue NW. However, security is shockingly lax, and I am once again out on the lam, on the down low again. Could you help a fellow out with a safe place until the heat is off? Kindest regards, Benton

Benton Harper
My freedom continues, and I was able to make my way down to the Patterson compound on Saturday (and depart undetected). No new deliveries, and not one license plate noted. 5211 still parked behind Davies mes shops There were a few more retired dats busses. From east to west: 5107, 5122, 5129, 5108, 5115, 5120, 5113, 5133 Have to run, I suspect my location may be of interest
awstott
5213 and 5219 at DynEco Automotive Service Centre. Looks like this new delivery has the fleet numbers on the roof just like they started with the 7000s
Benton Harper
Was around the Patterson compound and NAPA locations, and there is up to 5219 in town. Patterson has: 5219, 5218, 5217, 5215, 5214, 5212, 5208 **5212 has a plate; CHW 0474 NAPA still has 5213 and 5206* could not see any plate And from last weekend, 5213 (no hood fleet number) and 5219 at NAPA
Catherine Wilkins
EXCELLENT WORK BENTON NAPA AUTOPRO DynEco Automotive Service Center Ltd., 6904-75 Street is the approved vehicle inspection business. Thank you very much Benton for viewing 5212's License Plate. Forty-Four more License Plates to go. Everyone feel free to visit CPTDB WIKI - License Plates Still Needed. This topic can be found under the Greater Edmonton Area page. We only have one ETS Electric Bus to catch, numerous ETS DATS Buses still to find, and a few STAT and SCT buses are still needed. Thank you everyone for your help.

Catherine Wilkins
THANK YOU BENTON Looks like only sixteen buses have been sent west from Saskatoon (5204 to 5219). Thanks to you Benton we now only need to find 5204 and 5209.

Catherine Wilkins
WOW !! Thank you very much for braving the extremely cold weather conditions. Your efforts are really appreciated. Hopefully by March 2021, some of these badly needed buses will see revenue service. Quite a few buses (that are well maintained) have over two hundred thousand kilometers on them. It's nice to see the License Plates in some sense of numerical order now to. As noted in WIKI, the method of assigning License Plates previously was unfortunately quite random in nature. Keep up the good work Benton.

awstott
I witnessed that SWAT team vehicle following some silver car around Davies MES. Edmonton Police Cruiser pulled out shortly before hand too - probably to setup covert surveillance.
Catherine Wilkins
FANTASTIC Thank you very much for finding 5187 Benton. We only have four more 5100's left to find. With the addition of 5227, that means twenty-four NEW DATS BUSES have arrived in Edmonton. Benton you are extremely intelligent. Keep up the good work. You have nothing to worry about. Benton Harper
Thank you for the pointers, and yes the u-haul has its advantages when you're on the lam from the ahs peace officers. Just park it right next to the u-haul lot, perfect camouflage
Catherine Wilkins
Thanks to you Benton, the CPTDB WIKI Page is now 30% complete. Please see the attached link. https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Edmonton_Transit_Service_5204-5248 A couple of very minor corrections have been made. 5205 is CHW-0481 and 5215 is CHW-0471. Update From Benton: ETS 5204 to 5219 are mounted on a Chevrolet Express G-4500 Chassis. ETS 5221 to 5227 are mounted on a Ford E-450 Chassis. CPTDB WIKI will be updated as more information comes available.
Benton Harper
Another note, 5204 to 5219 are Chevy. 5221 to 5227 are Ford E450
Benton Harper
All the DATS at NAPA are on Ford chassis, it appears none have been delivered yet: 5221, 5223, 5224, 5226, 5227 looks like 1 more inside the shops 5222? No other new DATS busses in the compound or Davies shops Unable to obtain the plates for 5205 and 5209, 5219 (covered in snow) No problems from AHS/EPS, as without my winged cape flowing in the wind, I don't attract too much attention
M. Parsons
@Benton Harper, are the retired buses losing their license plates like regular ETS buses usually do? 5122 was on Big Blue III heading away from Percy Wickman. Assuming to scrap given it's a low numbered unit, but, it did still have it's license plate. An ex DATS bus might be a step up from a van for accommodations in the river valley for you sir.
