It's just a new routing for a public route. True, but even when I used to transitfan, either it was all public, or I snuck thru Osborne Station while it was under construction for pics when i was younger lol. Doing that thru "official" WT sites might get your dad in trouble with his job & potentially cost him his employment. Its safer to stick to the City Council meeting notes. But then again, been on here almost 10 years, what would I know
Isaac Williams
Although, in my defense, I know that at least one other user (Wpgtransit11-25) has posted screenshots of run cards in the past, which is arguably more secretive than what I posted. On 3/12/2020 at 9:50 AM, Wpgtransit11-25 said: here’s your new blue line run card It's not the only time they've done that, too. Maybe I should start posting run cards too, as that is apparently acceptable, even though posting a public map isn't... Also, nobody complained when I posted work bus maps awhile back, which are definitely not public.
ConnorsCompShow
At the end of the day if they didn't want it out there, don't put it up on the corpnet for consumption by operators at large, because one way or another, they talk. Or manage your ACLs so only select people can see. Or put it in a password-protected area. Etcetera.

Because I have to use these buses to get home and them stopping operating at like 11 PM is just awful if you need them to get home as the only other option for me is a 33 minute walk. They should be operating until 1 AM in my books 10-11PM is ridiculous.

trebor204
Speaking off operating hours, Public Works is looking to extending the hours of Route 677 to past 10:30, for the areas by 640-670 Sterling Lyon Parkway. Public Works is also looking into removing the shelters in front of Kildonan Place https://clkapps.winnipeg.ca/DMIS/ViewDoc.asp?DocId=21893&SectionId=652069&InitUrl=

Speaking of bad headways, did anyone else notice that there are four 75s operating on Weekday PM, but only TWO 78s despite being more or less the same length? I mean it's not even a question of not enough buses, because there is no need for a 75 every 20 minutes that late. They could just remove one 75 and give it to a 78, thus making them even. Same goes for Saturdays, why are there 3 75s but 2 78s? Even weirder there are only two 74s on Weekends despite the 74 being longer the 75 and 78, resulting in one hour headways. Though the 72 was a loop, so both branches would take you to where you're going eventually, unlike the 671 and 672.

From my experience, most people only ride the 74 between Polo Park and the Outlet Mall, so my guess is they feel that it doesn’t get enough ridership to warrant more frequent service. Whereas the 75 always seems to get pretty busy, especially around St. Vital Mall.

There was a time in the past when the 74 and 78 shared 3 buses on Saturday, resulting in a ~75-minute headway. Also, the 90 runs with just 1 bus on Sunday, resulting in a ~1 hour 21 minute headway. The last two 45's to Kildonan Place on Weekdays, which go via Prevette Loop, are done by the same bus, resulting in a 74 minute headway.
cslusarc
I really wished Winnipeg Transit operated a more memberable "Clockface" schedule, even if this meant that routes interlined at route terminals.

Isaac Williams
676 Centre Street got a new sign. Looks pretty weird, like they were gonna stack the signs, but gave up. Here's the old sign for comparison.
Isaac Williams
Many more signs have been updated to be stacked (and "... VIA KENASTON" was removed from the 79). Here's just some of them. Some notes: The 29 Beaumont Station is not really stacked. They just shrunk "BEAUMONT STATION", put it at the top, and called it a day. The outbound 40 shows "HEADMASTER", even though the 40 doesn't go there. Should be "RAGSDILL", which the 40 used to show years ago. The outbound 57 just has "SOUTHDALE EXPRESS", with nothing below it (though the outbound 57 didn't show a destination before anyways). The 676 St. Vital Centre, like the 676 Centre Street and 29 Beaumont Station, just had the destination shrunken upwards.

In fact, the 40 didn't exist until 2006 when it was split from the 41. Due to that, there was no route name on the D40HF's. Personally I think it should be signed as 40 North Kildonan via Edison. Isaac Williams
Here's even more updated/stacked signs that I was able to get today (including the fixed 40 sign). "71 TEMPLETON VIA MCPHILLIPS" and "21 PORTAGE EXPRESS - ST. CHARLES VIA UNICITY" "93 SOUTH ST. VITAL" and "96 WINDSOR PARK VIA SOUTHLAND PARK" "55 DOWNTOWN VIA MEADOWOOD" and "40 ALL SEASONS EXPRESS - RAGSDILL" "32 NORTH MAIN EXPRESS - INKSTER" and "32 NORTH MAIN EXPRESS - SEVEN OAKS"
