There's no need to make the exact same post in two different threads.

On the Fall Schedule (starting September 4th), the 649 will be re-routed down Newmarket Blvd and eastern Scurfield, the 671 will be extended to Bridge Lake & South Town, and the 672 will be extended to Castlebrook & Silver Creek/Landover.

Where did you see that the 649 is being changed. There is no item on any Public Works meeting to change the routing of the 649.

Winnipeg Transit employee self-service site (my dad is a driver).

Probably best not to post non-public transit info. It would be different if that information was in the minutes/agenda of the IRPW council committee.

Jeez it's not like I'm posting employee info or company secrets or something, lmao. It's just a new routing for a public route.

True, but even when I used to transitfan, either it was all public, or I snuck thru Osborne Station while it was under construction for pics when i was younger lol. Doing that thru "official" WT sites might get your dad in trouble with his job & potentially cost him his employment. Its safer to stick to the City Council meeting notes. But then again, been on here almost 10 years, what would I know ?‍♂️

Although, in my defense, I know that at least one other user (Wpgtransit11-25) has posted screenshots of run cards in the past, which is arguably more secretive than what I posted.

It's not the only time they've done that, too. Maybe I should start posting run cards too, as that is apparently acceptable, even though posting a public map isn't... Also, nobody complained when I posted work bus maps awhile back, which are definitely not public.

In addition, the changes to the 671 and 672 were discussed at last month’s IRPW meeting. https://clkapps.winnipeg.ca/dmis/ViewPdf.asp?SectionId=645803&isMobile=yes

Do the changes to the 672/671 include extending the operating times? Because I have to use these buses to get home and them stopping operating at like 11 PM is just awful if you need them to get home as the only other option for me is a 33 minute walk.

They should be operating until 1 AM in my books 10-11PM is ridiculous.

Public Works is also looking into removing the shelters in front of Kildonan Place

Yea cause homeless people are always sleeping in it. In the winter I had to freeze my rear off for 20 mins while waiting for the 47 to go home

Not to mention only operated with one bus on Saturdays, leading to an 80-minute headway on the individual branches.

Speaking of bad headways, did anyone else notice that there are four 75s operating on Weekday PM, but only TWO 78s despite being more or less the same length?  I mean it's not even a question of not enough buses, because there is no need for a 75 every 20 minutes that late. They could just remove one 75 and give it to a 78, thus making them even.

Same goes for Saturdays, why are there 3 75s but 2 78s?

Even weirder there are only two 74s on Weekends despite the 74 being longer the 75 and 78, resulting in one hour headways.

Though the 72 was a loop, so both branches would take you to where you're going eventually, unlike the 671 and 672.

From my experience, most people only ride the 74 between Polo Park and the Outlet Mall, so my guess is they feel that it doesn’t get enough ridership to warrant more frequent service. Whereas the 75 always seems to get pretty busy, especially around St. Vital Mall.

There was a time in the past when the 74 and 78 shared 3 buses on Saturday, resulting in a ~75-minute headway. Also, the 90 runs with just 1 bus on Sunday, resulting in a ~1 hour 21 minute headway. The last two 45's to Kildonan Place on Weekdays, which go via Prevette Loop, are done by the same bus, resulting in a 74 minute headway.
