Portage and Garry is much easier to connect with the WB Portage busses mentioned in the report instead of Portage and Main.

If you’re transferring to/from the 53, you can switch to/from a 14, 19 or 55 (all of which run on a 10-minute-or-better headway at rush hour) virtually anywhere along St. Mary’s or Main. Whereas if you’re transferring to/from the 56, the 10, 43 and 50 do not run anywhere near as often, so it may be advantageous for those passengers to ride further into downtown and switch to something that runs more frequently.

Last week, I saw a bus going down the transitway signed "Zone 1". Not sure as to what that means as the bus didn't stop at the stations along the Transitway.

"ZONE 1" is for the employee night CATER system. Most likely, that bus did the Zone 1 CATER the previous night, and neither that driver, or the next driver changed the sign to Not in Service.

Also saw a XD60 turn around at Seel Station.

Most likely a mechanic testing the bus.

If I'm remembering right "21 Woodhaven" exists (or existed once), and to make it even more of an oddity I went on a WB run that was signed up as such (pretty sure it was just the actual Grace Hospital short-turn but I think I was only on for a handful of stops). It's more common to see a "22 Woodhaven" on the short EB contraflow runs that used to exist in the PM hours pre-coronavirus, so the sight was definitely odd.

Yes, "21 Woodhaven" exists. It was generally used for eastbound buses ending at Portage & Woodhaven (most of which came from Grace Hospital, though there was also one from Crestview, badly pictured below).

There are a lot of other rare or never-seen signs in the system. I might be able to unearth more of them in the future, with the help of my dad whose a transit driver, but no guarantees.

I know most of you probably aren't too familiar with them, but the morning work buses will be getting a face lift this upcoming schedule change (the night CATER's are unchanged). Here are maps of them.

What are the CATERS? Do they also have schedules/maps?

New sign for the 85 when heading to Henderson.

Saw that too. Wonder when it was changed as usually that would be done during a schedule change. I think it makes it more clear as to its routing as the 90 also does KP to Henderson via East Kildonan.

New P/R sign, now that restrictions have finally been loosened.

This sign is much better. I like that they're still putting up a sign to encourage mask wearing, and I really like that they made this P/R sign only show on the front and side (not the back). When I'm trying to see if the bus that I just missed is the route I was planning on taking, it doesn't matter if I have a mask because I won't be boarding that bus.
