SidneyTransitfan
Are there any of the old Trolleybuses left? I've looked on your wiki site, and it says: "Being retired" Is this out of date, or is it actually concurrent? STF
Dennis
Out of date. Currently all the E90x are retired from revenue service.

SidneyTransitfan
That's a shame. I was looking forward to seeing some in action. I have some of my fondest memories on those buses.

When you say "Currently", do you mean that a couple may resume backup duties if absolutely necessary? Or are their tickets to the scrapyard signed as a final decision already? There have been talks about bringing back some of them for use during the 2010 Olympics but besides that they will all be scrapped except for a few saved by TRAMS. 323 Surrey Ctrl Stn
Do they have some in storage? Well depends what you consider "storage." I'll post a photo later tonight of what their condition is right now.
SidneyTransitfan
I might have a few images myself. However, the most recent ones are in January 2008. They're not very good though, not much like the ones you have on your wiki site. However, I may be in Vancouver sometime soon. Are they all in OTC or are some still parked in VTC? SidneyTransitfan
Well, if they are going to bring some out for the olympics in two years, they have to keep them running every once in a while, because otherwise they will all seize up and will require new engines and things. Board Admin A. Wong Posted July 14, 2008 Board Admin Report Share Posted July 14, 2008 Trolleys don't have engines so they'll probably be good to go after some fluid changes.

323 Surrey Ctrl Stn
Power steering if applicable, windshield washer fluid, etc. Funny thing is that after talking with a few VTC operators I found out that they wanted to keep the old E900's and just outfit them with new power steering. Dane
If you're on Facebook it would be worth your time to join the TRAMS page; a member has been posting some fantastic photos of the Trolley's second lives in South America. It is very cool.
ThomasW97
I apologize for bumping an old thread, but found some e901a and e902 trolleys going for sale  http://enelsubte.com/noticias/mendoza-remata-106-trolebuses-para-comprar-repuestos/
DD453T
This is probably a rare chance for TRAMS to get parts to repair the ones hit by the scrap thieves.
ThomasW97
Apologize for bumping an ancient thread, but... wanted to let everyone in the loop that TRAMS is currently holding a fundraiser to cover the shipping costs for a unit to replace 2805 from the former EPTM in Mendoza

Somewhere in the neighborhood of $12k Also, I'm interested in knowing which coach they're reimporting. I hope it's 2716, so TRAMS can have an orange livery bus...

Entire coach - rumored to be either 2716 or 2903. They will be restoring this coach and using 2805 for parts from what i heard.
