gmnewlook
Every morning are the same buses I see on the Bonaventure on my way to work (5h30): 5014232 803223 And if I pass early enough on the Bonaventure I'll see 3552256 and a couple of Greyhounds if I'm lucky. stm_5307N
On tuesday I saw the Enviro500 demo on route 28 Chateauguay at TCV in PM rush, so its running with CITSO.
Chris_the_traveller
I wonder how many of these CITs are actually seriously evaluating the possibility to purchase double deckers...
stm_5307N
I wonder how many of these CITs are actually seriously evaluating the possibility to purchase double deckers... None. Its all PR junk.... a gimmick they use to make the average customer think that the CIT is looking at new ways to improve to become more modern or offer better quality buses. I thought they are so interested in them that they are going to get some, and the fact that it can go into TCV which surprise me the most!

Cimon8000
What!? It can't go into TCV. It's outside loading only on either Saint-Antoine or Mansfield st. WHAT? I was being told by the people at CIT Roussillon that they can fit in TCV after they adjust the door at the entrance/exit........so it can go in TCV or not? Off loading outside of TCV, how about picking up passengers at TCV during the PM rush? still picking up outside TCV??!?!

OC Transpo 8238
If TCV can handle a regular bus with a little bit of clearance, how could it handle a double decker? Look at a picture of a bus entering TCV and it's pretty clear one couldn't fit regardless of what someone "hears". Do some investigative research. Cimon8000
very nice video to show, so yes it could go in and out TCV as mentioned by the staff at CIT Roussillon, it only couldn't pass through the AMT rail bridge on Rue Saint Antonio which has a clearance of 4.05m If TCV can handle a regular bus with a little bit of clearance, how could it handle a double decker? Look at a picture of a bus entering TCV and it's pretty clear one couldn't fit regardless of what someone "hears". Cimon8000
So is Saint Jean Sur Richelieu (well what they claim) to be exact, it's the contractor(Transdev Limocar) who is interested in getting the double deckers and split them among different CIT systems which they are contracted for. Cimon8000
Just looking at MRC Les Moulins Facebook page that they are running another NFI midi, all white with fleet # 29601, just wondering if it is for testing or an actual purchase unit? Moreover anyone has the VIN # of it? Thx
Chris W
From what I read (and had Calvin roughly translate), it's apparently a leased unit. They are also asking for customer feedback in order to purchase more of them.

Chris W
Apparently, having looked at it closely, it doesn't appear to be the same unit. The URBIS unit looks to not have the full glass in the rear door. Maybe my eyes are deceiving me.
