I'm about to pull my hair!

I feel that way too, these drivers are so picky

I'm considering paying the $700 just to make it happen and working it off later at this point as I'm so fed up with how picky our bus drivers are with their buses. Right now I don't really care about breaking even, I just want to make sure this happens. No matter what the cost.

Right now I would settle for a monkey as a driver, as long as they can drive a bus.

Again I am sorry about this, OC is so confusing, defiantly better planning will be required for next time. I've learnt my lesson from this one, and that is to not rely on Volunteer Drivers.

Though I kind of blaim OC Transpo, they hit me suddenly with some info that I did not know before that point where post-payment is not accepted. If they told me this earlier, it wouldn't of been a problem.

But I can blaim everyone I want, that ain't going to get me anywhere, so my main priority is just making this happen. If this last driver says no, then I am going to just pay that $700.

Worse news ever, I tried going down the road that doesn't have the volunteer driver and because their so busy this weekend now with charter, they put it back to the 27th, so I need to know, any one for it because I have no choice in this matter anymore.

Man do I feel like crap, this will defiantly ruin my day. Future advise to any future charter planner: Don't think planning a charter is easy. It's really not, especially when dealing with OC Transpo.

Now I see why not many people charter OC Transpo for transit enthusiasts at least.

I would just like to add that I will try one more time at lunch to get OC to make this happen on the 13th, I ain't going to let them bully me around this time. I will tell them that quite a few of the attendees are coming from out of town (which is true) and cannot reschedule so we must have it on the 13th. I'm going to see if that will change their mind as I cannot live with myself if I do not put up a good fight.

Like really, what have I got to lose by trying to make sure this happens on the 13th?

Great news everyone, I used that story earlier as it is partially true, and it worked.

So now I'm paying that $735 (as GST wasn't included in the earlier price) and now the only thing stopping us is if 8769 is not available, which I highly doubt.

So everyone scrap the 27th, we're aiming for the 13th again.

At this point I don't care if I break even, though I would appreciate a donation as it would mean less hours I have to do but it's not mandatory. I honestly don't mind working 20 hours to make up for the expenditure of getting a driver. It's kind of my fault anyway that we couldn't get a driver in time. So I'm willing to make up for my mistakes.

I am no longer expecting a broken even but honestly in my opinion, a charter is better then no charter at all. Which is why I'm committed to the 13th and only the 13th at this point.

I know you all are probably all angry from this confusion and I would be too, which I kind of am cause I hate creating confusion but go ahead and blame me, I don't really care anymore. Only thing I now care about is having this charter happen.

As for 8769 being availab\le or not I can tell you this, tthe only way 8769 isdn't available is if beroken down.As the charter is on A Saturday most the buses OC uses are the Invero's,Orion VI's D60lfs, 93 Classics and the odd Orion V, everything from 92 on down isn't.

Well I was out and about today and 8769 did a school special today and also ran the D96 Kanata. It must be in great shape if it was running the D96 lol. Also, the rear rollsign wasn't set properly, it might be jammed but the numbers are still there. We can just roll it manually if it is a problem.

Now, I would assume the location is still at St. Laurant Stn on the upper level, time is at what, 10am?

I can do so tomorrow, which is no problem for me.

Anyways, won't be on much for a while, trying to get an interview at OC Transpo.

Your welcome, it was one hectic day today to make the charter go from a total bust to becoming a reality. I really feel proud of what I did today, plus I built a cabinet, as I'm taking cabinet making at school, college level. With that and this, I sure did a bunch of work.

So just letting you guys know all the stuff I have to deal with as cabinet making sure ain't a easy trade. I'm quite sure most of you guys know that.

Also just a random cabinet making fact, if you cut your wood 1/64th of a inch off, it can mess up your whole cabinet. That is how hard it is.

I have seen 90s out on a sunday a few times, so they do go out occasionally as St. Laurent still has them. I spotted one on the 7 one Sunday not too long ago, it was actually 3 weekends ago. I was going to photograph it coming out of Carleton but I forgot.

Oh also 8769, yeah before they give me this bus, they have to make sure this bus is available, or else I have to pick another bus, so he does all that work, though thank you for the advise.

I hope this isn't considered double posting as it's been like a hour since my last post but I found something interesting related to the charter on the "Historical" theme.

I was searching through the OC Transpo site archive for another route and I came across the 99 Transplan. This was the Transplan that killed most of the routes that we're going to be mimicking come this charter.

So I thought I would just share it with you all.

I'm glad some of these service changes didn't go through, it would of really messed up OC Transpo.

99 Transplan

Though they kind of didn't follow the cuts for the 189, they said it would be cut as soon as the LRT started up, O-Train started in 2001, 189 got canceled in 2004. 3 year delay.

I am glad they didn't cancel the 43 and 41 (though for the 41 they did eventually anyway). It's quite amazing how many routes were cut in this Transplan.

Though I find the title really funny lol

If anything this plan actually made service worse, no one complained about the service back in the 90s, so that goes to show something right there.

Who here could honestly have seen the 7 doing what the 1 does now and the 4 doing what the 7 does now? (East of Rideau Center that is). Though actually now that I think of that, the 7 would be perfect for that and the 4 would be pretty good too for that part.

Nice one, I actually like that, a route pamphlet for the charter. Great idea. Plus it looks so official looking, I like it! :D

Also is charter seriously "NOLISÉE" in french? I ask because when I was in Quebec City, I remember seeing a RTC bus displaying "CHARTER" on it just like that, and I know they aren't very English because their website only has 3 English pages.

But I'm getting off topic here, but that is just confusing me.

Unless it is a English speaking charter that I saw that for. But then again I don't know much about Quebec City, but that is what I saw, and I think I might have a photo of that laying around. I'll look for it tomorrow, too tired now.

Wow, you seem such a enthusiast person. And Merci by the way, I did it for fun, didn't think it would become serious, heh.

Hope I spelled Nolisée correct. I didn't realize that Navette is francais for Shuttle, and not CHARTER.
