A. Wong
Yesterday at Rexall it was 874 (or similar all-white unit) again, and another white unit with just the TRAXX logo parked behind it.
kevlo86
Spotted #810, 811, 812, 827, 834, 836, 838, 839, 841, 847, 851, 852, 859, 871, 873 and 874 doing various shuttles and transfers for teams, media and VIP's fo the World Juniors in Calgary. Here are some highlights! Traxx #812, a recapped H3-45 that was left in it's original livery, looking very sharp I think! Traxx #871 and #873, Team Denmark and Canada's buses. 2011 Van Hool T2145 units Trax #834, recapped H3-45, team Finland Traxx #827, one of Traxx's post 2002 H3-45's (there are only a few of these in the fleet), in other words this is not a recapped unit. Team Czech Republic is using this bus.
Prevost
Just out of curiosity... how do they assign which bus goes to which country? I mean obviously there are some nicer/newer buses versus older buses... so do countries using the nicer/newer buses pay more money or how does it work? I don't know for sure, but I doubt there is really any real logistic or order to it. All of the coaches being used are 45 foot coaches with seating capacities of 56/57. They all pretty well have very similar ammenties in them and for the most part can be considered to have the same level of luxury, despite the age difference in some of the coaches. The Van Hool's and Setra's are all within the past six years, with the Prevosts (except 827) being 10 to 14 years old. To a Motorcoach company, a ~2000 Prevost H3-45, a 2006 Setra S417 and a 2011 Van Hool T2145 are all the same so long as they all have the same passenger comforts. I would suspect it was more or less a random disptaching of coaches for teams. Though Canada, United States and Denmark were lucky to get less than one year old Van Hool's I guess. If a senior driver bids say Canada, Canada will get a newer bus as a senior driver would have a newer bus. Usually tourneys like this the teams are bid on by seniority, not by coach. BCT-3122-D800-10240
Earlier today I found 3 brand new H3-45's parked at the Traxx yard in Airdrie numbered 877-879. A staff member said they got 4 of them so I would guess that 876 or 880 is the fourth unit. http://www.flickr.com/photos/vehicle-images/7168256333/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/vehicle-images/7168256159/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/vehicle-images/7168255995/

A. Wong
Wonder if 875 is a VanHool then?
Prevost
What happened to their full color paint schemes across the entire bus? Now their buses look less colorful, being just white with a green logo. Also spotted Traxx 850: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dansmotorcoachgallery/7363839962/in/photostream
canuck600
It could be that these white coaches will have wraps applied to them, why ruin a expensive paintjob when you don't have to?
T2145
834 also got some refurbishing. This coach originally came from Alaska if I remember correctly. It ran in it's original condition for Traxx for quite a few years. A photo of #834 from a few weeks ago. Looks similar to 810, though 834 got the bottom fog lights and an air scoop. Hi Kevin. I just joined the forum. 834 was my assigned coach when I worked for Traxx in 2006. It was told to me that it was previously owned by the Kelowna Rockets WHL hockey team. The coach had a few perks that the other H3-45's in the Traxx Fleet didn't like a full power invertor (probably to allow the coaches and players to use their Lap Tops, DVD players and video games) and larger fuel injectors on the 12.7 Series 60. When I drove it, it was Traxx's most powerful coach and in my opinion still has one of the nicests interiors of any coach I have ever seen, even to this day. I really miss that bus ;(
BCT-3122-D800-10240
Wonder if 875 is a VanHool then? Hmm... Good question. I have yet to spot a coach numbered 875 that I can recall.

kevlo86
Spotted Traxx #875, the other Calgary member here that saw it might be able to confirm if it was a Van Hool C2045 or T2145. It is an ex-Demo unit and it looks very similar (livery wise) to this, heck it might even be the same coach! Below photo is NOT mine, found it at http://www.buses.org...ges/Bus%205.jpg
A. Wong
That wouldn't be the first ABC demo that Traxx has purchased, I think?

But now I can't figure it out. Just checked the WIKI page for Traxx and I see nothing mentioned: http://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php?title=TRAXX_Coachlines ..........! I am not sure if I ever caught a photo of 851 in that livery but I do now remember seeing it like that. Gotta go through my photo collection and see if I can find it. BCT-3122-D800-10240
Last weekend, I found a scrapyard west of Medicine Hat with a bunch of scrap Tot-em / Traxx coaches in it. 4 of which were not listed on the Wiki at all. As well, I had never seen these particular coaches before either. They are #'s 861, 862, 865, 867. Photos attached to this post and these coaches have been added to the retired listing for Traxx here: http://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php?title=TRAXX_Coachlines . #863 was also in this scrapyard, but we already knew about that coach. BCT-3122-D800-10240
I am not sure what was going on last night at Heritage Park, but I spotted at least 7-8 Traxx coaches leaving the park as well as traveling northbound on 14th St. This was after about 8 PM. I was only able to catch the fleet number on one Van Hool and that was #842. Also spotted at least one of the new H3-45's that were delivered last year. BCT-3122-D800-10240
I wonder how Traxx is doing on their scheduled service they have running Medicine Hat via Hwy 1 to Calgary and Airdrie...anyone know I am not sure how they are doing with ridership, but they still are running the 3035RE's on that run. I have been seeing them occasionally while driving my route 20. Last night I spotted 855 on 29th St. N.W. near the Foothills Hospital with a bit of advertising on them for the Medicine Hat to Calgary service. I have seen it a few times around the same time so I assume it is actually working the Medicine Hat to Calgary run, but I don't know why I am seeing it by Foothills Hospital. I haven't had a chance to look it up yet. Edit: - Apparently there is a stop available on this route at the Foothills Hospital. Here is a link to information on this route on the Traxx website here: http://www.traxxcoachlines.com/traxx-calgary-connector/ Edited January 22, 2013 by BCT-3122-D800-10240
