Two photos of the bus I drove on my route 3 today. First shot taken (before entering service) on 10th Ave. S.E. at about 3rd St. right where I snapped 4 CFD Rigs in this thread: http://www.cptdb.ca/...?showtopic=5976 . Second shot taken at the Fish Creek turn around loop.

If I recall from when the route number was reused for the opening of McKnight-Westwinds, someone had said the number had been unused for 4 or 5 years I believe.

Edit: a quick search on google found a note on http://www.kevinsbusrail.com/calgary_trans...mpics1975.html:

"826 has just finished an afternoon trip as a route 85 Huntington East Express seen here at 78th Ave. N. Terminal. This bus was retired later that year. Also this route was done away with in early 2003."

along with the picture you posted above.

HAH! I forgot I had submitted that image to Kevin's website years ago! I guess adding it to my website today isn't really a new addition after all! Oh well! Thanks for the info and memory refresh as well too!

They are the traffic priority signal transponders - basically allows the bus to change the traffic light (or speed up the light cycle) at select intersections.

You can see it mounted below the destination sign in the picture of 8074.

Speaking of the photo of 8074, what is the APC logo? I noticed it's on the side too under the fleet number.
