SMS
OK today was a triple success, I would have preferred better sun angles but hey can't complain. The people at the Auger Metropolitain garage were alright but a lady told me not to go in the buses after having gone into the three Classics on property. Aside from the three Orion V Suburbans, these were the only transit buses on property! I wonder where the others were. Anyway the lady turned out to be the person responsible for charters so now I have a contact there! Also she tried to push a coach on me... I said no way, we're all about the transit buses! No coach sightings, sorry! Later on at La Quebecoise in Delson (very small garage, all outdoor parking), the women there in the office were really chill. While I was there, some 3rd party guys were removing radios/GPS devices from the transit buses. Matt Demers
Wait, TMCI Classic? So these were originally from the US since TMC was only in America?
SMS
Builders plate by the front door specifies T.M.C.I. They are American made Classics from what I understand. I swear I am not making this up! My first ride on a TMCI was with a bus based out of Calgary Transit's Anderson Garage with a really cool female operator. Alex and I fanned a little outside TCV for PM rush and then headed to Angrignon for CIT Roussillon's last trip over the Mercier Bridge. 2004 was our ride, a 2000 Novabus RTS. We returned with a Prevost coach back to TCV of course. Terminus Georges-Gagné (anciennement Autoparc Delson) has temporary AMT signage for the stops, there are actually four platforms now as opposed to a flagless stop next to a lonely abribus. A bit disappointing is the fact that the new bus stop flags at Roussillon are not necessarily new... the same metal flag now has a sticker with the new logo on it. Can you say cheap, guys? Too bad no one else wanted to come... it's been a great past few days. The action starts tomorrow guys! Limocar presents new buses for the newest system in the province! Who wants in?? SMS
Today BTW most of the CIT Roussillon buses ran without logos Very valuable pics were taken in the last few days, in other words... ADDENDUM The last PM rush for CIT Roussillon served by La Quebecoise 2318 on the 85 - ghost livery 9944 actually signed up as "70 R-Sud/Brossard" - didn't know the rollsign worked! Dammit! - ghost livery (poor job at front, can still see vestiges of sticker) Later at Angrignon, 2004 was the last bus to use the Mercier Bridge, henceforth all Roussillon buses shall use the Champlain Bridge. stm_5307N
Wait, TMCI Classic? So these were originally from the US since TMC was only in America? There ex-CT Transit (Connecticut, USA) They most likely picked them up from Capital Bus Parts in St Romuald, QC.

kellergraham
I have the pleasure of presenting you with the FIRST Limocar CIT Roussillon Sightings! 370(22)8 - Novabus LFS Suburban 2008 371(22)8 - NovaBus LFS Suburban 2008 (BETTER THAN CITSOs!!!!! The whole terminus may one day be relocated north of highway 132 - Off topic, but in the vicinity: Off peak Delson/Candiac train service is "in the works". - As much as an improvement the current schedule is, it's only the beginning. Another revision is planned for August 25th. That would probably explain why the bus stop flags are just as bare as the older ones: OLDER: NEWER:

SMS
The prize is bragging rights. I will have to go to TCV and/or Georges-Gagné sometime next week to get some brand new bus pics. I've been lazy. Too bad some of you guys didn't want a piece of the old Roussillon action though. Nobody likes the RTS here? You'll never see one in Ville LaSalle again! kellergraham
After analyzing the improved service from CIT Roussillon, I can say that the following improvements are needed: 30 - Add bidirectional service, perhaps hourly off peak (which seems to be the CIT standard) 31 - Add GG@09:00 // GG@09:14 32 - Add GG@16:15 // GG@16:40 33 - Add GG@19:00 // GG@19:25 34 - Add GG@08:25 // GG@08:50 34 - Add GG@16:15 // GG@16:40 34 - Add GG@19:30 // GG@19:55 35 - Add GG@08:45 // GG@09:10 35 - Add GG@15:55 // GG@16:20 35 - Add GG@18:55 // GG@19:20 36 - Add GG@05:06 // GG@05:21 1X0 - Add GG @ 05:40 // TCV @ 06:15 1X0 - Add GG @ 09:10 // TCV @ 09:45 1x0 - Add TCV @ 15:00 // GG @ 15:35 1x0 - Add GG @ 19:00 // TCV @ 19:35 130 - Move 19:15 to 19:20 130 - Add GG @ 15:30 // TCV @ 16:05 130 - Hourly off peak (CIT Standard) 200 - Allocate two buses to the service with standard departures during rush hours every 45 minutes and every 1.5 hours off peak Alex

general682002
Good question, my guess is no. You might be right unless they can make it accessible for their routes, but however it may be a long way for that.
tristan
Also, CIT Rousillon sent a CUTAWAY to TCV for it's weekend service! Only 3 people on the bus leaving at 13:55... They did the same thing on Sunday. 550229 was on the 130. I find these buses very ugly, the only thing I like about them is the electronic destination sign. I don't know if we should call them Cutaway, to me a cutaway is more like STM uses on the 251. Those used by CIT Rousillon are short school buses. Those used by CIT Rousillon are short school buses. I think I know what you are talking about, SURF has some too, manufactured by Mercedes, and used on the Rosemere Train Station runs. I had the displeasure of riding a cutaway due to mis-understanding, thinking that the Classic I was on didn't go as far as I needed to, when in fact it went way beyond that. When I reached my destination, I saw one of these school buses, I'd put them at around 30'. IMO, they aren't as bad as cutaway, but if Nova made shorter versions of the LFS, I'm sure they would have some business for them, QC transit companies aren't used to using shorter models since we haven't been able to purchase them since the New Looks, due to no "Baby Classics" having been produced (apart from a TA mod). I would like to ride one of these "school buses", and compare it to the awful ride of a "genuine cutaway", me thinks it will be much much smoother.
