Corrections! Sorry about that - typed it wrong

9847-9850 are transfered to Victoria
9462 is to Victoria
9449 to Chilliwack

We've been told we're getting 9462 back at some point. You never know though with Transit and bus transfers. If you see it running around with a Victoria phone number, let me know and we'll take it off our inventory LOL.

Just spotted 2 non A/C 1998 D40LFs on flatbed trucks heading north on the Sea to Sky Highway just south of Squamish, wasnt able to get the numbers since they came up quick around a corner and i was driving rhe other way but they looked like 981x. I’ll see if i can see the numbers when im in whistler this weekend since thats likely where they’re headed. On another note Squamish now has its 3rd 2018 arboc #2672

The 2 D40lf’s on flatbeds i saw going to Whistler earlier in the week are 9818 and 9820. Also added in up there in the last few weeks for storage are 9756, 9064 and a couple other 35ft darts that i couldnt see the numbers of. Also i mentioned a while back that i didnt see 9905 up there but it’s there parked amongst the other darts and d40lf’s

Noticed this on 2015 Nova #9458 today. I guess this will be the screen for the next stop display when everything is up and running. Wasn't hooked up though.

Looks a lot like the screens that Translink have in their busses

When is will Next ride (I think that's what it's called) be operational?

End of 2018/Beginning of 2019. It's already active in a few systems now.

Also, noticed 9436 has a next-stop screen too. So I guess they're installing the screens in Novas first...

Cool!

Though I think that BC transit should have introduced this a long time ago to help those who are visualy or aurally impaired.

I mean, Translink has had this since 2008 and that's 10 years ago!

Will future BC Transit bus orders come with this pre installed or will it have to be installed and wired at BC Transit facilities?

I believe that is the plan, but it needs to be installed and functioning throughout the system first.

35ft Vicinity 4455 is currently sitting in Vernon's yard. I'm not sure if its simply on layover for the weekend, or it broke down on its way to Nelson/West Kootenay Transit.

Just an update on this. 4455 is here for the annual province wide mechanic training on Oct 17th. Last year it was held in Kamloops.

Taking a look at Squamish's NextRide website, they have two new arrivals; 4465 and 4466.

Here’s 4465 outside the garage with 4023, 4027, and 9084

Thanks. I wonder why Squamish has different bike racks than Victoria and most other BC Transit systems?

I think its because Squamish is a big mountain biking community, just like whistler which got those bike racks too last year. I’m into mountain biking and the tires for my downhill bike are just a little bit too wide for the old style bike racks aswell as my cross-country bike is a bit too long for them so these ones work good

9843 arrived in Kamloops last week, currently being stored.

Interesting. According to the Wiki, it crashed into a house a few years back, and then was decommissioned a few months ago.

Both true, it was decommissioned and towed out of here, but like 9842 it might be back.......
