BCT-3122-D800-10240
I'd like to add discussion of the Ex-BC Transit - Victoria 1991 MCI Classics that have recently been added to the Red Arrow / Spruce Meadows fleet. As noted in this thread at the following link: http://www.cptdb.ca/index.php?showtopic=12128 , Red Arrow has received the following Ex-Victoria 1991 MCI Classics to add to their fleet; 942, 943, 947, and 954. Earlier today I decided to stop by the Red Arrow shops and found two of them renumbered into PWT's typical numbering system. I saw #3029 of which I am unsure of her Victoria fleet number and #3031 which I could see on her rear window the former Victoria fleet number of 943. Attached are a few images:

I am thinking there is a fair chance that 3924 is Ex-942 as that unit had been previously seen at the same Southland yard for a few weeks now. I haven't even seen 954 in a few weeks now. Will keep a watch on those two to confirm their former identities. Edited September 30, 2010 by MBTA9244-9640b

Those two would be Ex-BC Transit - Victoria #'s 942 and 954. Which order they are is still yet to be determained. So I hope to find that out soon. BCT-3122-D800-10240
Will these buses be replacing the out dated ex calgary GMC Fishbowls? I believe it has already been posted, but from what I heard, some of these MCI's are for expansion and they may possibly retire one or two of the Fishbowls. BCT-3122-D800-10240
After a quick chat with a contact at Southland Transportation, it sounds as though MCI Classic #'s 3924, 3925 are going to be used within the Southland fleet with the Thomas Transliners. I suspect a few more of those Thomas buses will be retired and scrapped as they have been nothing but trouble. But that kind of explains why those two Classics were numbered no where near the two that are parked at the Red Arrow shops and numbered 3029, 3031. kevlo86
Your quite the private investigator ....Think they will repaint them? I was told by a Red Arrow supervisor that Spruce Meadows wants to do some corporate re-branding, meaning colors will change. Meaning that Red Arrow is not likely to go paint the buses into the livery that the Fishbowls are in just to have the livery changed in less then a year. Not too sure about the Southland ones though. They didn't ever bother repainting the Thomas Transliners, GM RTS, GM Fishbowl 654 or Orion I 655 though.

And I am guessing 1166 was treated the same way. Here's an image taken by R. Yep! I saw it too at about 1318 passing me on 5th Ave. at 2nd St. It was bus 3031 and it had a full load of passengers. Sure was odd to look in my left rear mirror to see a 'BC Transit' colored MCI Classic coming up behind me. Also to note, 3029 was at a paint and body shop just east of 52th St. and 54th Ave. S.E. about 2.5 weeks ago. It was still there a week and a half ago as well, but I forgot to check to see if it was there last weekend. I had heard Spruce Meadows was going through a rebranding and that the buses would receive a new livery so I am guessing that 3029 may be the first to show up in this new livery. Just took a quick look on their main page of their website and I don't see anything different as of yet.
