Mousing around The falls on the weekend I noticed a couple of bus stops where the wheelchair landingt area had been marked out in blue & white paint.... does anyone have a decent close up of that they could post / PM to me?

TIA.

I was in the Falls today and saw 9009 at Souvenir City with the wheelchair area painted.

I was more interested to see that this Green-Line service destination screen was no longer in green but in a much more readable white. I didn't see any other WEGO buses but hopefuuly they have made them all white.

sorry if this is old news but all the People Movers and Trailers are in the auction yard of Bryan's Farm Equipment, Hwy 6, Puslinch, Ontario (adjacent to the CPP Rail main line) (along with the ex HSR Hamilton Classic community bus)

Thanks for this info. When I asked the question nine days ago on the previous page of the thread, it went unanswered.

Today when I went to Niagara Falls I noticed all the Wego buses had less then 10 riders per bus. The green line was using 40 footers but the Blue, Purple and Red lines were using the artics yet when I passed the garage all the 40 foot Wego buses were sitting in the yard. Is it just me or would it make more sense to just use the 40 footers at this time of the year and save the artics for the prime tourist season?

The Parks Commission (Green line) only has two 40fts, while the City (Red/Purple/Blue) only has five 40fts; neither division has enough 40fts to run them exclusively during the off-peak periods, so artics will still need to go out.

Ok well none of the NFT 40 foot Wego buses were out on the road. Only the Parks Commission 40 footers were being used today since the green line only uses two buses now. Also for NFT Wego service the red uses 2-3 buses, Purple 1 and blue 2 so only 1-2 60 footers are needed.

subject to council approval, Niagara Falls Transit will be ordering two 2013 Nova LFS 40102 units with delivery scheduled for June of next year. New Flyer actually was the low bidder for bus prcing alone, but with NFT personnel already having training on the Novas and having their parts, the results were $856,000 for two from Nova versus $865,000 for New Flyer. (full information is available in the council agenda for the December 11th meeting via www.niagarafalls.ca). In ITS news, nearly all buses have the stop announcer LED displays and driver display monitors installed, but it will still be a while before the stops are called out (database issues apparently).

So if New Flyer was the lowest wouldn't those two quoted prices be reversed?

Do you know the model for the Chair-a-van? And we usually put years from their build date, not delivery date.

I'll put on the expected delivery date in the notes though.

Chair a Van is a 2013 Chevrolet G4500/Goshen GC-II, obtained through Crestline Coach
