Megabus Rider
Here is a Orion VII for Niagara Falls Transit displayed at OTE. The rep was not sure if it was for their City or Regional Service.
Gil
The i-Ride system probably pre-dates Presto. They aren't the only Ontario transit system with a non-Presto smartcard system - Kingston has one, and Burlington used to have one until Presto came along. I don't recall seeing anything about i-Ride last year, which struck me as strange since PRESTO is rolling out in more and more places across the province. Unless the lead-up to i-Ride kinda forced NFT to go with them when PRESTO began its wider roll-out. Like Brampton, it looks like NFT is phasing out paper media in favour of a smart card. Could it co-exist with PRESTO?

TomW
The new visitor transportation service for Niagara Falls has now been branded "WEGO" http://www.newswire....m-wego-revealed I read it as rhyming with "Lego". (Although that's not a bad thing: "Wego: building a better city through transit")

(Although that's not a bad thing: "Wego: building a better city through transit") this service which will replace the Peoplemover, starts June 29th, so the Orion IV's will be around a little longer until then http://www.niagarathisweek.com/news/article/1331228--and-away-wego

MCI Classic
I think they did a good job on the livery. It looks very different from anything else you see around these days. I have no problem with the Blue and Red livery.
Orion V
Looks like the LFX brand is now extended to the 40ft similar to the LFA brand from NFI if they are BRT. Looks like a new unofficial designation is needed for the 60ft LFX now... LFX Artic anyone? They chose Aries seats. Not bad... Interesting to see the Aries in the artic because most systems that ordered the Nova artic always seem to prefer the Insight. The sideway facing seats over the middle wheels, fuel tank, and the last row of seats are also similar to the Insight seats. Can't wait to see if they are able to change out these low back horrible seats to Aries or at least add a higher back to the seats in these sections if that's even possible. general682002
Looks pretty good! I'm hoping someone should stop complaining now on the livery they've chose. Too bad they didn't wrap the Niagara Parks version for the artic. Looking forward to visit to ride one!
* Mr. Black *
Looks pretty good! I'm hoping someone should stop complaining now on the livery they've chose. Too bad they didn't wrap the Niagara Parks version for the artic. Looking forward to visit to ride one! The Niagara Parks buses will be seperate from the WEGO buses, and should be paintd in the Green/Blue livery.... Canadian manufacturer Nova Bus has been selected as the preferred supplier of 20 articulated buses and 7 standard buses. The decision was made following an extensive RFP process. The WEGO system will include 27 buses, which were built by Nova Bus in Saint-Eustache, Quebec. The city has already received its 16 buses – 11 articulated and four standard - but they still need to have some decals and computer systems installed. The 11 buses for the Niagara Parks Commission's routes are being delivered directly to them ok.... the math doesnt add up there.... If parks is getting 11 buses, that would make it 9 artics, and two 40 footers. but if WEGO only got four 40 footers, that would mean Parks is getting 12 buses. 9 artics and three 40 footers. someone is going to have to take a count of the units when they go online....... MaT
Ok I dont know about anyone else but Im pretty confused here. Whats the difference between the niagara parks service and this WEGO service? My original thought was that WEGO was replacing the niagara parks shuttles. niatrans10
allegedly there's also going to be a purple line; the red will be covering the Garner-Table Rock run via Lundy's Lane, Stanley, Murray and the Parkway; the Blue will travel year-round as follows: Livingstone-Fallsview Blvd-Murray-NiagaraParkway-Table rock- Parkway NB to Clifton Hill, left on Clifton, right on Falls Ave, left on Bender, through the Casino Niagara entrance and left on Victoria travelling down to Fallsview Blvd, left on Fallsview ,left on Robinson into the Skylon Tower then back out again to Fallsview and south to make the counterclockwise Dunn-Stanley-Livingstone loop and back ....confused yet anyone??..... the seasonal blue will continue down Stanley to Marineland Parkway, Portage Road, Upper Rapids Boulevard and into the NPC Rapidsview station and back to Stanley the same way. this new purple line will travel Clifton Hill-River Road-Bridge-Bus Terminal( that's where the fun comes in, fitting the WEGOs with the Regional and City bus stops in front of the terminal)-Queen-Victoria-Great Wolf Lodge-Victoria-Queen and back to the bottom of Clifton Hill the way the old Green Line shuttle used to go. There's a temporary VTS map up on the City website under the Bids and Tenders page, it can be accessed at www.niagarafalls.ca/pdf/tenders/1141/vts-bus-routes.pdf ; and there will be an website set up for the WEGO( www.wegoniagarafalls.com or something similar) but nothing's up yet

Cimon8000
2 WEGO scheme LFX artic were on WB401 at Kennedy around 11am this morning, most likely on delivery to Niagara Falls. Note that their desitination sign(showing NOVABUS) are not usual "orange" Luminator but "white" instead, don't tell me they are having a "multi-color" Luminator sign
niatrans10
all the NFT WEGO artics were in by the end of last week: the Niagara Parks Commission is currently taking deliveries of their units now, this morning there were at least three artics on their lot, and the old Orion units have been moved over to the Rapidsview parking lot... the big disappointment-the NPC buses will also be in the blue and orange striping also on the WEGO topic but not entirely, with Nik Wallenda supposedly doing his walk on June 15th, the WEGO system not starting until June 29th and no sign of NFT running an interim service between the Victoria Day weekend and the end of June, it's pretty much going to kill NFT's service the weekend of the walk, between passenger loads and vehicle traffic

The 2 I spotted were not plain white but with red/blue "waving" stripes decalled already, looking sharp although i prefer a more "colorful" scheme I just wondered if NPC will use both the Orions and Novas together for a period of time, or the Orions will be replaced overnight by the Novas?
