Well at least your 1990 d40s are making it to 2008. TTC retired all of there d40s by the end of June in 2004 due to corrosion.

Not all, only the D40-90 and it was both NFI and TTC fault with the bad order.

I can confirm that 9050 has been retired, saw it out at St. Laurent garage being parted out.

You can't really see it but the engine is missing out of it.

So, a driver on another board (though, I do have my doubts about how legit he is) has mentioned that 9002, 9017, and 9217 have been retired due to corrosion.

I have seen 9217 at Swansea missing it's windows infront of the rear doors. I don't have a picture of it quite yet but hopefully will soon.

Interesting that they would be there. I'm wondering is Thom Transport is going to rebuild them and use them in Pembrook where they have the contract to run the Transit system in that city?

More like a temporary storage location before the scrapper picks up the retired buses.

When I went there last time (April 8, 2010), they (the guy at Thom) said the buses were being sold to some fellow in Montreal, perhaps these buses could be facing the same fate?

Some of those buses have already ended up here in a scrap yard close to Montreal. They are eventually going to be crushed for their metal content. I know the guy that has the contract to scrap OC Transpo buses after they are retired.
