i have spotted two retired SCT Orion V's earlier today. the location is behind a gray building on Oakdale Avenue and Abbott Street, it's not a scrapyard as far as i know, but the building has a lot of cars out front

I can confirm the two units are 9155 and 9261, and they are still intact

I take it that you have no further information on these two units? Are they still still part of the St. Catharines Transit fleet or have they been sold/auctioned off to whoever has them parked there?

they are retired and most likely sold, although they still have their destination signs

Saw 9157 leave the garage at 2:10pm and went to the Downtown Terminal via 4th Ave. It then operated as an unscheduled Brock Bullet extra, and deadheaded back to Brock each time it dropped off students at the Terminal. I saw it appear at the Terminal at 4:45, 5:15 and 5:38pm. It then left the Terminal on it's final appearance in which I assumed it headed back to the garage.

bad news, starting April 1st. the fare will increase, i would assume to $2.75

Again? <_< This sucks, I hate inflation.

On another note, 9157 made another afternoon trip today. Departing at exactly 2:08pm from the garage like the last time I saw it. It's good to know exactly what time this bus is out usually. Kind of annoying though that it only serves the Brock Bullet and this bus is always crushloaded, it's very difficult to get a good enjoyable ride on it.

i saw 9157 on the 406 doing a BB run, then saw it again downtown before 4 pm

They caught up to Calgary for single adult fare now. We are at $2.75 as well. Are monthly passes going up as well?

yeah, the price for a 31-day pass will go from $80.00 to $90.00, as well as prices for the 10-ride cards will go up by $2.50

one of the DE40LF's; 0707 has been refurbished. the New Flyer emblems on the driver and door sides are no longer there.

Is that the only way you can tell if it was refurbished or not? Anyone could have taken those logos off....

well it also looked more shiny than the others, could have been just repainted. it's what i usually think when there's a shine to it. Most D40LF's have rust under the doors by now.

hey guys you wont believe what I saw in the Garage parking lot in the back, 2 retired buses, Orion V and the Orion VI. The Orion VI just got retired this past month, both have no plates on it so its official which is sad however I did get some photos of the Orions and seeing if I can get a plate and also some goodies off of it, I will call up tomorrow after car gets new tires.

I will go by tomorrow and get a daylight shot. I wonder if Jared knows whats the fate of these two old girls. Are they gonna be scrapped or sold since the D60LF's from Ottawa OC Transpo's came into view and the Xcelsior XD40 from Niagara Regional.

I don't think the VI's are retired and won't be for a few years, 9157 however it's days could be numbered as Brock is done for the summer.

I should also mention that 9051, 9264 and 65 are still plated but still considered retired.
