kellergraham
Buried deep inside a "Procès Verbaux" for CIT Roussillon.... Someone says that SURF is considering buying Articulated buses? Anyone else here anything about that? http://www.citroussillon.com/_site/documen...f/091020_pv.pdf Page 6 Alex
joseph99929
Didn't hear anything about that. Would be nice on the 9 for the departures that intercept the other buses at Ste-Therese.
SMS
Yeah ok... let's try beefing up service with standard buses first (or better yet on the parallel rail service) before buying articulateds.
joseph99929
OK. Can anybody figure out exactly where CITHSL buses stop? The only indications we get on their AMT page is the names of the towns they pass through.
kellergraham
There's a map for that (my creation) Recently, CITHSL has been putting up AMT-style signs throughout their route, so expect a more detailed stop listing eventually. Previous to that though, users could hail a bus from any place along the route. Major stops include Downtown Montreal (Saint-Antoine east of Mansfield) Metro Angrignon Chateauguay (St-Jean-Baptiste / d'Anjou) Parc Mercier (Beauchemin / de Beloeil) Stationnement Mercier (Route 138 / de l'Eglise) Sainte-Martine (Route 138 / Chemin de la Riviere-des-Feves) -- This is where the injections start, not to far from the garage on rue Hébert) Additionally, don't trust the locations that Google Transit provides. They're only as good as the descriptions on AMT's website... Alex
kellergraham
According to the local paper, "Première Edition", CIT La Presqu'Ile will be expanding into Rigaud starting on July 1 (sic): http://www.journalpremiereedition.com/arti...er-juillet.html - From what I heard, it's just an extension of their current Route

joseph99929
CITPI is also extending into Saint-Lazare in September with 6 bus routes. Where did you get that information? Is there any other information available on the web? EDIT: Never mind, the articles all say there is no route information available yet. We'll just have to wait until September. Very interesting stuff though. I really wish those municipalities would consider funding off-peak service though.
kellergraham
No reverse peak... Thanks for sharing this news though. All you need TRAMwise is a TRAM5 for CITPI? Hudson is "officially" in Zone 6 and so is Rigaud. Whether this is enforced on CITPI cutaways, I don't know. Any other CITs/OMITs have issues about timely updates? On CITCRC "new" website there is a section called "Info-Express" where they put important informations about service disruptions. It's really useful during winter when it's snowing as they say how much minutes the buses going to Montreal and Longueuil are behind schedule. The only thing missing is SMS or Twitter updates just like STM or STL.
joseph99929
Does anyone know when this service started up? I believe it was in 2007 when SURF rerouted the 80 to only run along ch. d'Oka in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac. The municipality of SJDL took responsibility for local travel and for bringing people to the 80. dj.surf.lfs
According to this (scroll to the last page), SURF is studying for the feasibility of a new route between St-Jerome and Terrebonne, via Ste-Anne-des-Plaines. There will be a public consultation but no detail has been mentioned. -------------- New SURF schedules are also online: http://www.tec.amt.qc.ca/itec/pa2/circuits/citla_lcirc.htm No new route 96 listed (probably was just a typo). joseph99929
dj.surf.lfs, you seem to have the inside scoop on everything at SURF! Speaking of which, they discussed additional trips during the school year to serve the Riviere-Nord area in St-Eustache. Any details? Are they integrating the school buses for high school kids for that area into the regular network or is it something else?
