I doubt that transdev has the contract for Sorel, for the simple reason that the contract has not yet been concluded and that Exo has a lot of problems with Transdev and Keolis

Don't know how many times we have to repeat it in the thread, but it has already been confirmed by someone at exo and I have seen job posting out for Transdev for the service. Transdev will be the operator of the 700 as of July 1st, mark my words

Speaking with a STSV driver, I got some information on how they operate and how many buses they use.

The service has 3 buses assigned to the service. 363, 368 and 387. When a spare is needed, they use a whitewashed minibus that Transbus keeps as a spare (333, 343, 370), they have used 361/362 on the service as a last resort as well as 1233.

363 is only used on the morning portion of the 99 when they are more students. It is used between 7am and 1pm, then is switched off for 368 for the remaining trips. Reason why the Vicinity is not used on the evening portion is simply because not as many students use the service, most courses are in morning/early afternoon and few courses are offered in late afternoon/evening to justify a bigger bus.

387 is assigned to route 11, it cannot be used on the other STSV services as its destination sign is decaled on and not an electronic sign as the other units.

What about 380? I've seen that one branded for the 11 like 387 (although in my photo it was on the 99).

And 363 seems to sometimes get used for Presqu'Ile. It was on the 7 that day (in January).

The advantage of 363 is it can be used on PI service since their is no livery. He did not mention 380,  but he mainly does the 99 and the 40, rarely does the 11.

Some major transactions in the bus industry today

Intercar will sell all their Quebec City operations to Autobus Transco / First student. That means that Transport Collectif de laJacques-Cartier (TCJC) and Corporation de transport régional de Portneuf (CTRP) operations will also change hands in this transaction.

The Presqu'île contract is complicated, it is currently splited in 3 lots. This is the urban and minibus lot only that is being tendered.

The Midibus lot is valid until early 2024. Coach lot base contract is valid until end of 2022 but extensions are possible until 2026. They will likely extend coach lot until REM opens

I got news form a driver form La Presquile

317 was sold

1218 was sold

318/329 will eventually go

The busses from Sorel will be 1225, 349, 1247, 1246 « maybe »

all the fleet will be H3-45 busses

FYI: 1233 (2000) LFS will have to be retired by October when the contract comes into effect. So get it while you can

1233 might still be able to escape its demise past October if they officially assign it to STSV instead (perhaps not likely lol). The question though is what are they replacing it with? I wonder if Transbus has any 40 footers on order, or will look for some 2nd hand ones.

Upcoming changes to exo L'Assomption services.

Routes 100 L'Assomption and 200 Express Repentigny will be operated using coach buses as on Monday August 22, 2022. The operator will be La Quebecoise. I believe this is the first time we see a change in operators in on on-going contract. Service is also cut to be operated Rush Hour only now, departures outside of Rush and in the evening (Route 200) are no longer appearing in Chrono.

Keolis has a staff shortage, reason why they subcontracted it out

I was in Vaudreuil and saw ex sorel 1247, 1246 on the 40

362 on the 7

the famous 1233 on the 7 also

329 was on the 91

I spoke to 3 drivers and told me a lot of stories

317 sold
318 has a problem
333 in valleyfield the driver accidentally put gas and not diesel
362 or 361 a driver drove it with no oil cap instead with a rag to cover it and when he ended the rag was not there at all
374 is at Cummins for a problem
375 a new driver backed it up somewhere and ended up in the ditch and cracked the frame
382 officially in Varennes
1218 was running with no tracker it is sold
1245 has a differential problem

And two drivers told me that the busses from sorel are shit they are not the best they always have problems
And apparently Prevost bought them to possibly exchange for better busses

And the transdev TA busses right next to the garage 2 days ago the cadicydic converts were stolen

I've been trying to update the MRC de Joliette section of the wiki. I think I have all the coaches Keolis is using currently in MRC de Joliette livery.

image.thumb.png.9c5e7367511836571b7cdf157b2fca3e.png

Does anyone know what happened to 29374 and the 295XX coaches shown here? Are they still running somewhere?

I did a few visits to Joliette on the 50 in the past few months and got Chartrand 8058 and 8061, as well as Keolis Académie 7705, but I haven't seen any 295XX.

For the 125, Chartrand had a coach numbered "125" that they used on the route, but it seems to have vanished to make way for 8064 and 8065. Any info on those (model year, VIN) is also appreciated.

Keolis no longer operates the route from St-Lin to St-Jerome so 29374 is gone. The 295XX coaches are all sitting in Repentigny. They have not moved in over 1 year from what I can tell when I take the exit to go to the office. Chartrand has been picking up some departures of the 50 because Keolis is having a staffing issue ATM.

This is the roster I submitted for the 2022 Street Side Guide. I was unable to get a full confirmation, as Keolis and Groupe Gaudreault refused to provide me with rosters.

Thanks for the update! It matches about what I have observed. I had 6351 listed on the wiki because of @gmnewlook's photo I found from 2020: https://www.flickr.com/photos/48803885@N00/50522303897/in/album-72157669295823255/

However it isn't in the full livery like the others, and 6460 (also in his album) is at exo TM now.

I spotted the 35 when I was in St. Jérôme last year but I am unsure of the number or origin of that unit. I think I can see M9 on it (through the driver's window).

For Chartrand, 8065 is definitely missing. I have seen it several times on the 125. What I'm uncertain about is whether it was renumbered from unit "125" or is another bus.

Route 35 is now run by Autobus Campeau. I believe it is run through the MRC Montcalm now, as it matches their numbering scheme and the local service in St-Lin is run by them.

Chartrand 125 and 8065 have different livery positions and 125 has an ad for recuruting drivers on the windows in the back
