Hey! I just noticed this video about the new bus signal and it features #824 which is I assume is new for last year. How many new buses did Regina get last year?

Also I seen new Nova LFS in photos with fleet numbers 8XX. 815 is the lowest and 832 is highest I've seen. Does know how many of these buses Regina Transit has?

Too many! ?

I believe the order is 815 to 832 actually. It seems they got a large order all at once. I got a short tour of the garage in April 2018, and when I was there I was in 826 and 830, and they still had the new bus smell. My guide had mentioned they had been delivered earlier in the year.

Also part of the tour was seeing retired 808, an ex-Charlotte unit. At that time it was the only unit left in the building, as the last active one had been sent to auction in November of 2017.

Retired 808 full of spare parts:

Brand new 830 (if I remember correctly 831 and 832 were out for the day so 830 was the highest numbered there)

Is it possible you can add this to the wiki along with the Grande West Vincities (708-710)?

BTW are you #t6htransit on Instagram?

Yup that’s me on Insta!

I’ll see about editing the wiki to reflect that info. I thought I had moved the old 800’s to the retired section but I guess I didn’t!

I"M BACK = After about a year's absence I am back on CPTDB - finally was able to recover my password after forgetting it! THIS IS A TEST TO SEE IF IT WORKS. Shall post updates to Regina Transit in next few days or so!

Would you happen to know what the fleet range is for the 2017-18 8xx Nova LFS? 815 was the lowest number spotted and 832 was the highest.

Also are all the ex-Charlotte units retired too? I haven't seen any in photos taken this year.

If you would like to try out to be a wiki editor with all the info you've given about Regina Transit apply here:

I have seen only 812 to 832 personally (although I think  812-814 came in 2016?), and I live in Regina and see the buses on the road every day. For some unexplained reason numbers 810 and 811 seem never to have been used - maybe it was thought to clash with the four Chinese-made Grande West Vicinitys 708 to 711? Yes, all ex-Charlotte units are retired, as are all the EZ Riders and all 3 of the "cutaway" vans 105 to 107 - all for nearly a year or more. And did you know number 666 was also left out, likely intentionally, as that number is considered the "mark of the Beast" in popular lore based on the Bible. Did you know also that the restored 1954 Old Look GM #200 is gone - it went to the Manitoba Transportation Museum.

Confirmation it is gone to Manitoba Transportation Historical Association collection:

Bus Number: 200 (ex-Regina Transit)

Year, Make & Model: 1954 General Motors TDH-4801

Features: Detroit Diesel 6V50, air brakes, 37’ 3/4” length.

Capacity: 48 passengers.

The was originally purchased by Los Angeles Transit Lines in 1954, later becoming part of the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority as number 6583. The bus was sold to the Sacramento Regional Transit District, then to BC Transit in Victoria, and finally to Regina Transit. It is now with the MTHA.

Regina #597 wound up in Prince Albert: A 2018 tourist/promotional  brochure for Prince Albert had a page on the transit system, showing what was obviously ex-Regina NewFlyer #597; one could even decipher the number in the photo, despite being painted over! But I read now that P.A.'s council is getting tired of using old buses from elsewhere and is buying new ones...

Just found out that 711 does not exist. (The numbers are 708-710)

Also 814 is a 2017 model (2017's are 814-832)

Have been informed of the following retirements:

599, 603, 629, and 630

629 and 630 were 2008 ex-Nova Demos that they were running

There is a possibility that more 2006 LFS’s have been retired but for now it’s just the two listed above.

Can you please update the wiki. It's been out of date for so long and I've asked a lot of wiki editors but they've all refused.

The updates are posted in the link below:

I'm pretty sure that there is a 711 Vicinity, and that I've seen it on the road a few times. I was of the understanding there are supposed to be four. 708 709 710 and 711; there were rumors of two more coming which might not be true. They seem to be getting very sparse usage this winter, or they might be working in remote parts of town on "local" routes. Only onr I've seen in the past few weeks was 709.

If you have a photo of 711 please send it to us so we can confirm.

Also I was told by Busfanner19 on YouTube that 831 and 832 have the 4ONE Gemini seats instead of the American Seating InSight.
