Since the others were repainted, I imagine that 9511 will be repainted as well

well, I stand corrected... I saw 9511 last night, so I took a look at it. Its got a farebox and all the STS logos & numbers. also because it was parked in this spot and dirty, I imagine it ran a route yesterday. Also, I saw 9515 yesterday, 9515 doesn't have a fare box, or any ads inside, aswell, it looks like the ex-west van units have touch-bar rear exit doors. also the New Flyer logos that 9515 has I think maybe Big Rig put on when it was refurbed. Also on 9515, there is a light-thing at the front, maybe someone on here can help identify what it is, as 9511 does not have... so here are my pictures! 9511(July30).jpg9511(July30)1.jpg9511(July30)2.jpg9515(July30).jpg9515(July30)1.jpg9515(July30)2.jpg9515(July30)3.jpg9515(July30)4.jpg sorry about the size (I had trouble with trying to resize the pics...) I'm not the best at using computers... :(

The light at the front is a fog light activated from the side panel. It illuminates the area on the right of the bus to allow a better view of bus stops at night. It must be consistently held to the on position to activate.

The back doors are slightly different as well, they are set to open with the touch bars but to close, the Operator must move the door control lever.

Overall, these buses are still in good shape. Saskatoon made a favourable purchase. It will be interesting to know what the Saskatoon Operators think however.

Hey, thanks for clarifying that! I wonder why 9511 doesn't have it... the touch-bar rear doors are the first in Saskatoon, yeah, I wonder what the operators will think too.... when I was in Toronto, the bus I rode on had touch-bar rear doors, and one lady was trying to get off, but she couldn't figure out how to open the door, so she yelled to the driver to open the F***ing door. The driver replied "touch the door and it will open. She just snapped and left at the front... I don't remember what unit it was though... (got me a bad memory!)

9511 has not seen route duty all summer. Dustbunny dirty. Transit has been ironing out fiddly issues with these new used buses.

They probably wont see routes until schools start up again. Was outside because the barn got a deep clean. Moves around as needed to shuffle buses around. 9511 has been my lunch room for a few weeks in same spot you got the indoor pic.

When I first saw 9511 it still had his original Flipdot sign. Although It sounds like he's never been out.

On the plus side I saw 9514 yesterday! And even better, I saw 400 out! I don't know why he was out though, all of his ads were missing... I didn't have my camera with me at the time...

found out something interesting yesterday, our 2012 nova's have weird exit doors. your supposed to 'wave' your hand in front of it, then it will open. I've never seen this type of doors before. does anyone know if any other nova's have doors like these? BTW, the bus number was 1203...

Our WEGO LFX buses here in Niagara Falls have them, both sets of back doors are the 'wave' type

For non operator controlled rear doors on Nova's this is common with MOST Nova buses actually.

Seems there are no enthusiast living in Saskatoon, other than the professional bus wrapper. Video was posted about last year in winter with this incident:

I know of at least one from the "Bus Lounge", but i have no idea if he's in CPTDB or not, either as an active user or just to view and observe. Matt Cloud? Anybody?
