So that's how they tow away an artic - with the centre and rear axles on the ground! How clever, thought they'd use put the front and centre axles on a flatbed and let the rear hang from behind.

A friend and I went there about a month ago, we found the following buses there:

408

409

411

423

440

441

31 buses total

All the buses are in varrying states, with some being fairly intact and others being quite stripped out. Some of the earliest buses that headed out there were 369, 720, 724, I was told. The owner was very nice to us when we told him that we wanted to shoot his buses... with cameras! Lol

The classics are supposed to be around until April or May 2018, leaving 5 or 6 months of high floors service still. Meaning there is no way to tell what bus or buses will be the last one in service. As of recently, there are a few classics that are dead, but are still considered active on the roster.

Probably not for a long time. As much as drivers like the flyers, Novas are much more reliable. You'll see 5 buses in the shop and 4 will be flyers and one Nova. And Novas are cheaper than a flyer. The city (for the most part!) wants reliable buses for a decent price. And Nova is fulfilling that now

Presumably there is other data supporting that reliability argument.  The 4:1 ratio in the shop could just mean newer buses are less likely to need repairs and because they represent a proportionally larger part of the fleet are going to be represented in the service bay in higher proportion.

Not sure if anyone was notified about this, but the Canadian Transit Heritage Foundation will be hosting a farewell Saskatoon MCI Classic fan trip on Sat, Jun 2, 2018. I hope to attend.

No vicinitys yet... No idea when they are coming anymore!

Classics 108, 112, 120, 450, 451, 573, 583 are all dead, and some are likely retired. 

1801 thru 1815 arrived recently. They are 2017 Nova LFS, likely built in November.

The 18 series Novas are on the roads.  I've already ridden on 1801 a couple of times.  So far the highest number I've seen is 1806.

I seem to be seeing more "Not in service" buses lately.  Is the cold weather causing more problems?
