Saskatoon Updates

Could you get the VIN please.

Yes I agree. VIN numbers would be very helpful.

The bus looks really sharp and it is interesting that they painted it in the normal Saskatoon scheme as opposed to the Novas that are in the DART scheme.

What are the Saskatoon fleet numbers of the ex-OC buses?

LOL never looked at a vin before. Stoon transit just wants it running for the Briar and I just wanted to measure out an advertising design template. Will look if I remember while at work.

i hope it makes it for the brier, i might get a chance to drive it!

Would anyone by chance have an update on the following two MCI Classics at Saskatoon Transit? #'s 564, and 568:

Agreed! Although I didn't like the rollsigns (*insert destination* in un-necessarily huge Impact-font letters), it looked good!

LOL! this, http://www.busdrawings.com/Transit/sk/sktn/1991d40/731.jpg , was considered "un-necessarily huge Impact-font letters"?

What do you call this: http://www.busdrawings.com/Transit/Britishcolumbia/vancouver/d60/1991d60/b3004.jpg then? I think these were some of the most visible signs Vancouver ever had along with these ones: http://www.busdrawings.com/Transit/Britishcolumbia/vancouver/classicsuburban/1990/s4274left.jpg !

Whoops, accidentally confused Saskatoon with St. Albert, my apologies.

http://busdrawings.com/Transit/alberta/sta/1993d40lf/845left.jpg - When I was arriving at West Edmonton Mall during my trip, happened to see an St. Albert bus with a rollsign like this. Had to look again to see if I saw that right! To me (compared to Winnipeg Transit rollsigns), it looked insanely huge! The impact font though, killed it. Now everytime I think of transit in Edmonton, I'll have "UNIVERSITY" screaming in my head :P

i miss thoses d40 flyers, my favorite one was 733

733 was the last one I ever got to see active myself. Here's my photo of it that I captured on February 28, 2008 (Holy! That's 4 years ago now!!)

http://www.busdrawings.com/Transit/sk/sktn/1991d40/733.jpg

564 and 568 I think were raped of valuable parts and scrapped

Thanks! I forgot that I saw 585 there as well. Did that one end up scrapped as well?

Btw any new bus on order by Saskatoon? Wondering if all the Fishbowls will be gone once all the used buses hit the road, thank you!

as far as i know i only hear of us getting smaller brand new buses, the city is saving money right now with used buses we recieved from OC transpo, the buses from oc appear to be still in really good condition versus the ones we got from montreal, our fishbowls should be around awhile longer.
