September 4: Updated the Oakville section.

Have finally bit the bullet and started working on a real YRT section, rather than that piece of crap that I have up right now.

It's certainly "fun" trying to decided how I want to set it up with all the different years/models/fleet numbers for all of YRT's buses.

Well, I got a York Region Transit update done. A total of 27 photos including: 233, 315, 322, 326, 403, 516, 572, 584, 585, 2034, 2063, 2064, 8301 (X2), 8303, 8506 (X2), 8710, 8711, 8713, 8916, 8921, 9003 (x2), 9401 (X2), 9701.

Not much on most pages. In time there should be more!

September 10, 2006: Updated the Saskatoon Transit section with a new section for 2006 D40LFR's with pics of 0612 (X2), and 0613. Added a Durham Region Transit section with photos of #8115, 8137, 8143, 8144 (x2), 8151 (X2), 8152 (X2), 8169, 8170 and 8321.

Nice!

Are the Saskatoon Nova Classics 2nd hand? I don't recall them ever purchasing brand new Nova Classics.

What powertrain do they have? 6V92TA/VR731?

Yes and they are not 2nd hand, brand new they brought.

What other systems in Canada have Nova Classics besides OC Transpo and anything east of the Ont/Quebec boundary?

Why would Saskatoon buy them when it was argubly more expensive than the V, D40HF and RTS?

They tried the D40's. Not sure why they didn't go for more if they were cheaper.

I can only assume that they didn't go for the V or RTS because they already had a large quantity of Classics so it kept the parts common.

Off hand, I the only other system out west that has Nova Classic's is #1928 up in Fort McMurray.

It should be on Barp somewhere... www.barp.ca/bus/alberta should get you close to the Fort Mac section!

Is the TTC Demo RTS #1000 link supposed to go to the 1998 RTS page?

No, it shouldn't. And now it no long does! Thanks!

Took the opportunity to put up the 2006 Orion VII hybrid page in the TTC section.

Only has photos of 1002 and 1004 so far, although, I do have pics somewhere of 1000 on training at York University, and I believe shots of either 1006 or 1007... or both.

Edit: Added pics of the two hybrid demos ETS has right now.

Heh, all I've done today for updates has been hybrids.

Instead of polluting the board with a sort of unneeded post....

Added 17 photos in the ETS section to the 2005 DE40LF demo and Orion VII 07.501 hybrid demo pages.

Updated the ERRS section with 18 new photos of: #42 (X3), 80 (X3), 930 (X9), 4612 (X3). Updated the ETS section with photo of #91 (X2), 2010 (X4), 2401 (X2), 3857.

Nice photos (as usual, but especially nice since they involve streetcars). Who put Route 69 up on the Melbourne car?

Not the first time... I was ready for that as they were saying to take it easy there and be ready to stop because of a problem with that frog!

69... On another list someone commented that at first they were excited to not see the 69 used... and then they saw the rear of the car with 69. I guess that must have just been a popular route!

Well, I'm off on holidays for 10 days. The plan is to visit a number of western Canada transit system, mainly in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

I am taking my computer with me, so as long as I can find some place to upload from... I will have a special section on Barp (will be on the main page, just below the date of the last update) showing pics from each day.

Keep watching!
