Transit Fan
Quote Free Transit this Saturday, May 14 This Saturday, May 14, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., all transit throughout the city will be free, courtesy of the Dashmesh Culture Centre (DCC) in celebration of the Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan parade. This unique opportunity to ride free on Transit is paid for by the DCC to provide a safe way for families and individuals to take transit to attend this community event. The DCC encourages all Calgarians to attend, not just those in the Calgary Sikh community or located in the NE Quadrant. https://www.calgarytransit.com/content/transit/en/home/news/free-transit-this-saturday--may-14.html

Not likely, sg has 150 XD40’s 29 LFR’s and 86 D40LF’s = 265 units. Saturday commitment is around 115 units 1

JK-from-YYC
Whole bunch of bus shelters have had their windows smashed between Centre Street/68 Ave and Coventry Hills. Not sure what kind of pathetic person gets a kick out of wasting the city’s time and money on that cleanup.

Did they later realize that they forgot to revise a route that required changes? Extra budget/resources becomes available? Or is it more of a case that it was already planned but they forgot to include it in the original list?

All three examples you have given could be the reason, I’m not privy to the exact reason they are last minute. In my observation it’s a last minute finish of materials by several planners finishing their work for the signup and it is just a late add. 1
PartiallySD
Recently, I’ve noticed a couple of the 2010 Novas sporting a new, more Xcelsior/Nova CNG looking, or at the very least less salmon-ish paint job. If anyone has any insight on this, I’d appreciate it. I have no idea what would warrant a repaint, so info on that would also be appreciated Attached is a shabbily made graphic, the unidentified colour on the far left is the shade of paint on a Nova CNG cropped out of the photo

A great reference for this would be Kevinsbusrail.com or Busdrawlings.com these sites have photo’s of the Nova’s when the first arrived and show the inconsistencies of the early decals, such as 8102 never having its doors done.

Reason why I brought it up is because the stripe on the roof is now darker than the rest of the bus, however the kerb panels on the street side don’t appear to have been replaced recently, and have the more light colour. Maybe should have specified that first lol because I do know about the inconsistencies

It also has all black doors like some of the CNG Nova's have. Notice the lower stripe is also darker just like the top stripe.
LRT
Some of the D40lfrs are like that too.
PartiallySD
Here, maybe this would help make my point a tad clearer, unidentified nova today. The majority of the bus looks like the left colour, less 2 kerb panels on the kerb side. However I’m led to believe that the 2 older panels are the replacements based on what I’ve heard from y’all. It’d seem odd that they would use older looking panels for replacement parts, but then again, it is Calgary 1 hour ago, LRT said: Some of the D40lfrs are like that too. Only reason I ever considered this was because of the darker panels popping up on the D60LFR’s the last few months
vicinity
The reason for seeing random panels on nova’s painted or replaced can be due to collisions or worn panel replacement. What your seeing on the D60LFR’s is a minor refurb panel replacement to avoid corrosion.
