TTC 8498 on the 131 this afternoon. The rear sign displays 131 in a very tiny font.

That’s been like that even when the buses had the old green flipdot signs

Today’s special sightings:

TTC

3543 was on the Jane corridor during the day on both the 35 & 935

8321 was on the 35A  J A N E

not sure where to put this, but a TTC novabus hybrid caught into a moderately big fire at warden station today outside of the bus terminal. No idea on unit # but seemed like it was running on 102 prior to the fire

I’ve heard nothing of the sort back at the division.

What colour smoke did you see coming from the back end of the bus? If it was a white cloud that eventually cleared, it might’ve been the fire suppression system discharging. If it were any other colour and flames, it’s surely odd that nothing has circulated on a bus suffering a recent thermal event

Viva bus 1378 operating on Viva Yellow currently at time of writing. Due to an on-board medical emergency on 5153 and most likely was pulled from Blue being the closest bus available versus trying to get another unit from the bus rapid transit garage. To minimize lost service which only operates with two buses right now at 20 minute frequency currently.

Extremely rare to see an articulated bus on Viva Yellow which is usually a 40 ft bus.
