Yesterday: 9123 training on McLevin Avenue near Hupfield Trail.

Why is this in special sightings?

TTC 8747 is on the 64 Main right now

Because 9123 is from the Arrow Rd. Division. And if you looked on Google Maps, you would know that McLevin Avenue and Hupfield Trail is an intersection in Malvern, thus making it a rare and special sighting. Any training bus in Malvern using that type of bus usually uses its own (9057-9099, according to the wiki) or the LFS HEV (and sometimes the NG HEV).

Buses can train anywhere, therefore training buses aren't rare.

9123 is from the Arrow Rd. Division. I do understand that buses from any division could train anywhere, but here’s the catch. It’s not normal (especially for me, because I’ve lived in Malvern for 11 years) for a bus from a good 32 km west of Malvern to come to train here unless the driver is transferring to Malvern or Malvern ran out of active buses to train with. Therefore it’s not likely for 9123 to train in Malvern unless for another reason not stated.

DRT # 8409 is on the 900 Pulse.

It's apparently actually 8616, and the INIT unit of retired 8409 made it into 8616.

Why would that matter though? It's not like we haven't seen an artic driving in Malvern ever before. It all goes back to a bus is a bus. Or in this case, "an artic is an artic".

YRT AG300 # 204 is on the 90, on a weekend.

Probably for any potential crowds from the Richmond Hill Ribfest at Richmond Green.

TTC: buses from all divisions ended up on 29 dufferin as caribana extras today. The extras were only running between dupont street and dufferin gate. Spotted 3541, 8356, 8815, 9210, and many other buses from other divisions, including 79xx's without vision, that did at least one trip on 29.

From what i noticed, the extras seemed to mostly only be on the caribana express shuttles until about 6 pm, when they started putting a few on 29.

MiWay 1065, 1053, & 1070 were on (and still on today) the 11 Westwood yesterday for potential Caribana crowding.

The 11 is pretty far from Exhibition Place though.

A lot of people were going to Toronto from Malton for Caribana so they usually send artics on that route on those days since its a direct connection to the subway.

Also 1773 is on it at the moment.

Wasn’t sure where to post this, but I didn’t see any Arctic’s on the Line 1 shuttle last Sunday. Driving home, I saw one on the Sheppard Overpass at Highway 404. The Line 1 shuttle was fairly busy, so why not allocate the 40 foots to the other routes in trade for some artics on the Line 1 shuttle?

operators are required to receive highway driving training.  So that may explains why an "Arrow" artic showed up in Scarborough area.
