yrt+viva=1system Posted September 3, 2006 Report Posted September 3, 2006 saw TTC 7090 on mcrown road and hwy 7
Richard Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 ...I have a funny feeling that we'll see at least one of the remaining 5 ex-Montrealers again for emergency service, similar to that of 2153. 2153 required repairs just over the TTC's preset cost limit, so the garage staff put it aside in case the limit was raised (as it sometimes is during vehicle shortages), or if another bus with the parts required was retired. As for those Arrow Fishbowls, same thing applies, or they could be waiting on parts that need to be ordered or custom made (a lot of Fishbowl parts are not available off the shelf anymore). I suspect they're using other, more fargone retirements to fix them.
Orion VIII Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 How long do you figure the Montrealers will last?
RideTheRocket Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 PCC 4500 was out on a charter today; I spotted it this afternoon around 4:30 or so heading eastbound along College @ University Ave.Along with Peter-Witt 2766, and A/C 4041.
TheAverageJoe Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 7066 On Don Mills last evening so im guessing a Birchmount Orion VII must have broken down on the north end of the route to get a Malvern change off. Also this happened less than a month ago in front of Don Mills station and that time Malvern sent a New Look dont remember the number that time but it was fun riding a fishy on Don Mills its been a while since you seen that but it was fun.
TTCNLFBT Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 2750 has been retired also. It's seen parked at the back of Malvern Garage.

Does that mean a Malvern driver was driving it since Bmouint division drivers ain't trained on a 96 V?
wil9402 Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 Does that mean a Malvern driver was driving it since Bmouint division drivers ain't trained on a 96 V? A Birchmount driver could have driven it maybe, are the 1996s similar to the 1991s?
502 Downtowner Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 A Birchmount driver could have driven it maybe, are the 1996s similar to the 1991s? AFAIK, Birchmount drivers are not trained with the Wheelchair Lifts on the 96 V's and Novas.
wil9402 Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 AFAIK, Birchmount drivers are not trained with the Wheelchair Lifts on the 96 V's and Novas. I wasn't talking about if there trained with the lift or not, I know there not trained to use the lift. I was talking about the drivers area, if it was similar to the 1991s.
Felix Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 29 and 193 were on detour as a result of the labour day parade. They short turned at King and Spencer. 4500 was decorated and used the Dufferin tracks in between Queen and King. I believe it was decorated for ATU 113. 4120 (Nestea wrap) is in service.

I was talking about the drivers area, if it was similar to the 1991s. Any operator at Birchmount who was previously at a division that's had those buses would be trained on them.
stm_5307N Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 Unfortunatly for me, I didn't see any wraps all weekend on TTC buses or streetcars I did see 2109 on the corner of Sheppard and McCowen on friday though!
TheAverageJoe Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 AFAIK, Birchmount drivers are not trained with the Wheelchair Lifts on the 96 V's and Novas. could have mean they drove the bus and not used the lift
Orion V Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 could have mean they drove the bus and not used the lift But are they allowed to do that? I remember a year ago when a RTS was used on 39 and an Arrow operator has to drive it. 7826 was on 60 tonight around 10:45pm. I don't know if that was an Arrow or Wilson bus. And yes I'm sure it was 7826 since I was surprise when I saw it there and double checked it.
wil9402 Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 Birchmount is having some accessiblity problems today. Lots of Orion Vs on VII routes. 64 Main: 6666(sign is frozen on NIS), 6703, a VII (never got the number) - those are all the buses on it today 23 Dawes: 6724(I saw it twice, once in AM rush, once in midday) 135 Gerrard: 6707 22 Coxwell: 6661(rode it), 6644(rode it), 7872 - those are all the buses on it today I saw an Orion V pull up to 62s bay at Main Stn but I never got the number. I also noticed that the accessible stickers were removed from the Main @ Danforth Farside stop that 64 and 135 use.

Anyway, there was a set of H5's on the BD this morning. This tends to happen every now and then, I couldn't catch the numbers though as my train (H4's ) was pulling out of Dundas West too fast and it was entering too fast as well.
shambala Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 6481 NIS sb on Ossington @ Davenport. Huh?

They should have never made the 22, 12, and the 135 accessible if Birchmount is having a shortage of VIIs. How come you didn't post all that in the acc. violations thread? LOL! We ditched that thread.
wil9402 Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 How come you didn't post all that in the acc. violations thread? LOL! I don't find that thread useful since there's not such thing as an accessible violation there for I don't post in it.

So I assume there's always 2 02 Vs on 77 during PM rush just like before this summer?
