Today's Special Sightings

Recommended Posts

7936 and 7958 were on 32 today, 7958 has been out since morning rush. One surprising sighting, 7325(rode it) was on 32D, I havn't seen a D40LF on 32 in a while. 7325 has some brown tape over the rear destination sign. Also, I finally got to ride 4041, I caught it on the 510, where it's supose to be :). I don't think the A/C was on on 4041 because it was kind of hot inside but that was a good thing because it was a little cold outside because of the rain.

7978 was spotted parked across about 8 parking spaces :P in the Canadian Tire parking lot at Southdown Road and Royal Windsor Drive at 5:45 PM. Hope it wasn't broken down. :) I believe this is the last one that hadn't been accounted for in the 79xx series.

7623 was parked at the Orion facility down on Lakeshore Road.

#7978 was out doing tests earlier this afternoon... I saw it on QEW at Royal Windsor, shortly after I got a shot of it sitting out front, awaiting delivery.

7325 has some brown tape over the rear destination sign.

I believe I saw that bus on 300A going westbound at Bathurst at 3:15am today. The rear destination sign was smashed up at the time and was not covered by any brown tape.

6005 was on 16 during afternoon rush. I saw it at Warden station at approximately 6:10pm.

Well, someone put "69" on the run number.

I also belive 7325 had that for a while to use tape to cover the rear dest. sign.

How many Orion VIIs (both diesels and hybrids) are not in service yet? (Can anybody list out the fleet numbers specifically?)

Thanks

Dave

7978 is the only diesel that has yet to arrive, while 1070, 1073-1149 have not been seen yet.

EDIT: My bad, I wrote this while Felix posted the link.

Today i had a day at hillcrest they took out brand new 9420 back to wilson. 9430 looks like it done as well but they ever moved it. 9410 9412 9436 and a few more 94xx were in some done more then others. There was a few painted 40xx 41xx 4063 was still being worked on as well.

I also notice that there are a few h6 with the new digital speedometer i would say more then t1.

Saw 2720 heading westbound on Finch and Warden around 10pm just now.........most likely on a rt.39 (couldn't see the sign clearly) another *accessibility violation* (which is awesome! :P )

2858 was also on a 95E today.

Dave

That could be the 9:50PM 139E Trip

Nothing too special there, there are usually at least 4-5 fishbowls on the 53 during rush hours.

First one I've seen doing a 53E... besides.. It just looked weird to me.. used to seeing Orion's on that route all the time.

Midday they're essentially all Orions, during the rush is when the Fishbowls come out and in very rare cases a D901. If I wait at the 53 stop during rush I can get a Fishbowl roughly 35% of the time.

When i was at hillcrest yesterday 7331 has it new frame at the back maybe another 2-4 months and it could be back and also 7237 had damage at the back and the driver side at the back pretty bad but not that bad were they would need to retire it.

7843 on 23 today (rode it), it has a Bell wrap. Also, 7925 was on 32C and 7330 was on 32D.

Bell wraps: 2017 - 512, 2329 - 90, 2376 (new) - 90, 2793 - 95, 2846 - 96 or 165, 7663 (new) - 96, 7928 (new) and 7979 (new) were on the 7.

I also saw an Abrahms tow truck towing 2247 northbound on Bathurst away from Hillcrest, I have no idea where they were taking it, but it still had all of its fleet numbers and didn't look like any parts were stripped from it.

At Hillcrest, I saw 2427 with its engine removed, either they are fixing it up or it is next in line to be retired.
