SMS
Yesterday, Ashton allowed me to become a Wiki Editor after my request. I decided to become one since I think the Quebec sections of the Wiki could stand to be a bit, well... better. Example: our STM page resembles the Wikipedia page too much. Let's change that. We know much more than ordinary joes. So this is how I propose to begin. Check this page out: http://www.cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Soci%C3...e_Montr%C3%A9al See in particular the vehicles section. I've just added a photo which is deserving for our Wiki: proper sun angle, and properly labeled and described. Now look at the other two pictures below. Amateur by comparison. And I'm not saying this because both pictures have LFS in them. I will shortly remove these pictures and put some nice pictures in it's stead. Optimally, we will one day have a page worthy of the efforts of our Toronto colleagues: http://www.cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Toronto...nsit_Commission Thoughts? stm_5307N
I wouldn't mind having the STM wiki look similar to the TTC one. I like the fact that they have tumb pics for each series of buses.
SMS
OK well Steve I think it's your time to shine... you have a hefty Montreal bus pic website and I'm sure you can contribute to that aspect very well.

SMS
Alright well after a year of doing nothing, finally all active STM bus series now have a thumbnail. It was really pathetic that we didn't have anything before. The STM page still looks like crap so a lot of junk at the bottom completely plagiarized from wikipedia will soon disappear forever. I'm trying to bring it up to the TTC or MT standard. Here are some small things to do: Remove the 59 series buses from the active list If possible, add thumbnails for the retired bus section RTL and STL need to be worked on as well, as do the CITs. But that's for later on.
Matt Demers
I have a nitpick if you do not mind... That picture of 60-013 isn't that great. Your other contributed pictures are far more superior (as in brighter all-around) than this one. That is all for now.

I'd add it, but I haven't a clue how, despite being a wiki editor myself. And how about this for an alternate 59-series picture? Sun angle is amazing. Matt Demers
Both are very good and I am sure SMS will agree. I think your picture of 60-013 should be used..excellent pose, good lighting and I just love the way the wheels are turned in from that angle! SMS
For sure the pic of 60-013 can be changed but maybe you might want to slap on a copyright on your picture. I'm indifferent either way if my 59 pic is changed or not. I know the 60-013 pic isn't solid but it's one of the very few I have and I wanted to show it in the central business district. Here are some helpful hints to uploading pics: Reduce file size to roughly 800x600 so that it will hover around a 200 kb size. Upload pictures using the appropriate link on the left hand toolbar. Follow the naming convention for photographs. Example: name your file Société de transport de Montréal 60-013b.jpg because 60-013a is already occupied by yours truly. Override the warning when uploading if the amount of kb over 200 is negligible. Use the edit function in the STM roster to add or replace an image. However, you have to do the work (I won't) because the point of a wiki is to demonstrate user contributions. So Matt! You like my pictures! I am most pleased. Which buses or locations do you like the most? On another note, are you willing to add some of your nice GM Classic pics from the ETSPE site? Search for "copyright your pictures" and the like. The program I recommend is IrfanView, it is a very capable program in photo editing, but is still basic. There's no need for complexity because all your doing is adding copyrights, resizing, and cropping which it does well. http://www.irfanview.com/
M. David
Thanks for the advice, GC! Irfan View is a great program, and I'm sure I'll be using it a lot from now on. The 59-016 & 60-013 pics from above have been uploaded to the wiki according to the above specifications, and they look fine.

Matt Demers
I think SMS will now get angry at me..but I hope you forgive me for doing this. I have uploaded a picture of 28-076 for the roster (my first attempt!) to replace your picture of 28-019. This one is more closeup view of a 28-xxx so I thought it was a better addition. Plus, it provides some variety to sun angles by putting up non-sunny pictures that come out well too. I have not tried or did deleted your picture but I do not know if it is still on the Wiki server or not. Also replaced the picture of the 11 with shiny 11-035. What do you think guys? And that picture of 11-035 is really good. I've also updated the ST-Laval wiki page with pictures, anyone with a good pictures of a 59 and a 65 as well as the LFS' are free to upload them. http://www.cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php?title=S...nsport_de_Laval
M. David
Matt, your 11-035 picture is awesome! It looks like a brand-new bus in that pic. I know you've got some great GM Classic pics, so why not add those as well? Also, the Fishbowl section needs to be updated, so I hope someone with a lot of great Fishbowl pics will upload some of them (Steve, I'm looking at you) . In the meantime, I added a picture of 33-003 to the retired roster section.
