Does anyone know if there were any legit 3-axle Dominators sold in the U.K.? Because, all information about it says most of the tri-axle Dennis double-deckers were imported to Hong Kong until the Trident III replaced the Dominator tri-axle version in 1997. I'm thinking the U.K. mostly buys 2-axle double-deckers.

The Trident III was the first Dennis double-decker to be sold worldwide, including here in North America.

Trident III was NOT the first Dennis double-decker to be sold worldwide, Dennis exported their products to Hong Kong as early back as 1963, with their first double decker bus model--Dennis Loline--which is originated from a Bristol Lodekka

Dennis did not do a lot of export to other countries in the 70s to 90s, besides Hong Kong--which is the livelihood for Dennis during this time. However, 20 Dennis Dragons(tri-axle Dominators) were supplied to Stagecoach of Kenya, Africa during the early 90s, to replace the ex-Hong Kong 1960's Daimler CVG6 front engine double deckers. These buses were later sold back to Magicbus in England during the late 90s and were recently withdrawl from service

The Dennis Trident III of BC Transit(#9001 to 9010) were the very first left hand drive Trident III being exported by Dennis, together with the 9 Enviro 500 of 2004(9041 to 9049) which are also the very first left hand drive Enviro 500 being built

No new 3 axle Dennis Dragons/Condors (the same bus but given a different name depending on which company bought them!) were bought new for use in the UK, many have been repatriated over the years though.

They were actually transferred to Stagecoach Manchester, not Magicbus. Magicbus is a brand Stagecoach uses throughout the UK for "low cost" bus services, normally operated with older fully depreciated vehicles which parallel conventional services.

I have to wonder if the more radical E400 redesign is so it stands out more from the New Bus For London. Both of the buses in the picture/rendering are London spec, it's probably the biggest E400 market.

Additionally, Wright and Optare have recently released updated/new double deck buses.

Here's an Enviro400 operating in Toronto (looks like they have 2). They appears to have the quick release glazing.

The silver E400 is not London spec, it is single door.

The biggest market for E400's are actually outside London now.

The first examples are already in build for Oxford, there will also be some for Stagecoach on the redesigned Volvo hybrid chassis for use in Dundee, Scotland.

I didn't notice the door, but I did notice that they both had blinds rather than electronic destination signs (and the new white blinds too). I think London is just about alone in using those.
