I just checked the pantograph app and from there, it looks like more 100s are now being retired. In addition to units 100, 101, 112, 119, 120, and 127, which all retired many months ago, it now seems like 114, 115, 116, 123, 130, and 131 are all just recently retired. I’m not 100% sure but it is looking really likely that they are now retired because more new 6000s are appearing on GPS, which as we all know by now are the replacements of 100-131. The new 6000s are definitely great. I just wished there were some seats in the bendy part of those buses, like how it is in almost all of our current fleet of artics. Any idea which series might be the next to retire? I could check Pearl City Yard, but however, Its not really easy for me to see things, hopefully I can ask some drivers, I know a few drivers that I have in contact and I can confirm it for more updates, Ill let you know if these fleets are retired. Yes, the 500s. as for the LSFA, there heading for the older Hybrids, meaning it might be possible for 151-160 to retire and 161-180 the DE60LFR’s, but I highly doubt.
Williamv
When the first portion of the rail opens, the city will provide express bus service into the city from Aloha Stadium. As this will require more than a few vehicles, it’s possible there won’t be any articulated retirements for awhile other than 100-131.

kaulana
Hey kids, so I started a Honolulu Fan twitter page a few months ago and yesterday was referred to a reporter who is interested in doing a story on historical vs modern Honolulu busses. Would anyone be interested in helping her with a story she's writing? Screenshot of the twitter thread below. Feel free to jump in a leave a comment if you're interested in getting involved. Aloha!
